Hey guys. I was checking to see if anyone has run into this. I noticed that after my Rev9 intercooler install that I get a bit of turbo flutter after I let of the throttle quickly. Has anyone else had issues with this or found a fix? I’m just running the intercooler and intake, no BOV or anything.

double check the hoses & clamps ?
i had that similar IC no flutter at all.
After some research I might need to gap my spark plugs down. I was figuring this might be the culprit, so I’ll try that and see if it works.

UPDATE: FIXED

So I figured the plugs were the culprit and that turned out to be the case! I gapped my plugs down to .28 and all the flutter/shudder went away instantly. I tried to throttle on/off hard and recreate it, but nothing. Problem resolved.

Seems to be an extreme case of "placebo effect".
Needs further analysis.
I think flutter was the wrong description. It was more of an engine stutter and a “pffsss-tt-tt-tt” sound coming from my intake that I haven’t really heard before, but I can contribute that to the new intake filter I have. There’s no placebo about of this. I could re-create the stutter on command by just getting into boost and letting off the throttle fast. After gapping down the plugs I couldn’t do it no matter how hard I tried.

I found this post in an Audi forum that described exactly what I was experiencing and properly gapping the plugs solved it for them too:
