id love to see full engine bay photos when you get the chance!
Ask you shall receive. The first night was super exciting right up until the “Check Engine Light” came on. Drivers tend to associate that with “something is broken” but that is not the case. It just means that performance levels are now outside the ECU parameters set by Honda. I’m getting 20 - 30% boost from the Eventuri Airtake alone.

You can see the HKS Intercooler and HKS L-Spec exhaust here.

In the engine bay, you may notice the oil catch can in the back. Hopefully that does nothing.

Yeah, we are going to investigate it next week. When I was driving down the highway, I decided to turn off the radio. I wanted to hear what was going on. GOT DAYUM thing sounds like a JET! That Eventuri sounds so good. With that said, there’s no telling how much airflow is going through the whole system.

All I can tell you ( At this time ), is that I was accelerating in 6th gear. The car was about to spread wings and get airborne. Then, the CEL lamp came on and rev matching was turned off by the ECU.

Honda is being really cool hand about the situation. Nothing is broken, nothing damaged. We just need to do some diagnostics on the vehicle next week. Initially, the techs believe that the HKS muffler and intercooler may not have been installed properly. We are going to take it off, look at the connections, and then reset it. If any defect is found, then we will contact HKS for a replacement or go with their LegaMAX exhaust.

None of this CEL stuff has to deal with broken stuff. It’s more about ECU system parameters and errors codes tripped by sensors.

I believe the downpipe blanket is for THEIR downpipe, not OEM catted. As for the heat shield with the blanket, I was able to put 2 of the 3 bolts back on. It seems to fit securely with no rattles that I have noticed.

I can't stop staring at these pics. I like how you gold wrapped the smaller lines for heat/thermal management. I don't have a Type R but still. This is encouraging. Gonna head out to look in my engine bay for these smaller lines. Thanks!

You can't see it, but I also wrapped the small metal inlet on the turbo from the intercooler.
