When buying a used Ktuner and tunes what should the buyer be looking for so we don't get ripped?

Also, tap their name in the sidebar to see how many threads & messages they have, and look at some of those. I typically steer clear of folks who seem brand new to the site.

What about tunes they're selling are those good as well?

The tunes themselves are not initially stored on the device (TMK), but rather are a file type stored on the computer to which the Ktuner is hooked up in order to flash the ECU.

ECU ----- Ktuner ----- Computer > Ktuner Software > open file > choose the tune file

This tune file should be emailed to you from the Seller.

? This was my experience using a Ktuner V1.2 I bought from a reputable member here on CivicX. They emailed the TSP Stage 1 tune file.

yeah the guy is selling some tunes I was just wondering they cant like alter the tune in anyway is basically what im asking not like maliciously or whatever but maybe they did something idk lol.

Also note this is the first time ever buying tuners and tunes and crap for cars.

I mean, probably anything is possible, but the risk of that is super low, I think, especially if you buy a used device from someone on here who has a paper trail of legit activity.

If you're super concerned, you could get the device, then buy, for example, the TSP Stage 1 directly from TSP.
