We had to make a special version and find an app to 'enable bluetooth'. Whatever app 'enables bluetooth' will freeze and never be able to quit, but if you then launch TunerView Lite afterward it will datalog for some time. It is a pain and not a clean way to do it, hence we haven't released anything. The software/hardware setup on this head unit is horrible.

I just installed it in my 2018 HB and it works great. Nice job, Ktuner.

I paid $25 and I don't know who got the money. Went to China apparently. I looked before at hondahack.zip, from the link cited, but my software said it has a virus and refused to download it, so I went the easy way.

You have to disable your anti virus to run the honda hack, it will show its a trojan, but its not. Once you hack, you delete the honda hack from your computer and you are good to go

That's what I suspected, and my first instinct was to investigate further by disabling my antivirus. I saw it many times before when you can either pay, or get it free, but the free version is allegedly sketchy. Then I thought maybe some features in the newer? honda hack are worth it.

Finally got my Ktuner!! I’ll install it on the weekend. Currently running the stage 2 on my EX-T CVT with short Ram injen intake, prl cat dp and fp, mishimoto intercooler, and cat back invidia. I think that’s too much for my car and sometimes I feel like the car is running too rich.

Trims are probably off with that Injen intake. At least you can data log it this weekend when you get your ktuner

What you mean by trims? sorry to be a pain, but this is my first time actually tuning a car so I have no idea what is the right levels or how to fix it.

short term fuel trims= STFT, and Long Term Fuel Trims=LTFT, when you change the intake, you hope the manufacturer of your aftermarket intake makes an intake the retains the stock MAF (mass air flow) housing size, design and airflow so your fuel trims remain the same. When you miss, like apparently injen has since so many people report issues with their Injen fuel trims, you end up running rich or lean because the ECU cannot compensate for the new air flow correctly. Thats when you need a custom tune to fix it. when you combine your STFT and LTFT number it should be between -10 and +10 combined. Anything outside that and the ECU cant compensate and eventually you will get a CEL or bad MPGs or bad driving car.

Thank you so much! That's why I love this page so much, you can get help and learn a lot! I will put back the stock intake and compare numbers with the injen. If that's the problem (which most likely is) I will end up buying a different Intake in the holidays.

Honestly, intakes on this car don't do all that much beyond sound. I'd rather just be quietly fast with my Ktuner 21 tune, PRL silicone intake hose and AEM Dryflow filter.

I put the stock intake back and a new filter (obviously) and now my trims are running good. I even felt the difference right away!

So, what are my chances of getting 2019 support? Or is that a long ways away? Currently I'm installed on my phone. But on head unit would be amazing. Also how does it work if I want to data log on tuner view app? Where do the logs get saved to? Phone or ktuner 1.2?

There are two type of logging. You can start onboard logging with the app and the log stored on the KTuner unit and you can read it with the KTuner software. Or you can log to csv with the app and you can open it with the app or on a pc with excel or something like that.
