Hello Enthusiasts!

An Update for TunerView Lite and TunerView has been issued.

Touch to reveal the menu, instead of sliding. Much easier to work with.
Checking codes via V1.2 Units
Clearing Codes via V1.2 units
Tune Names Now Display In The app

On top of installing the app you will need to update the KTuner software and connect to your V1.2 unit in order for it to update the firmware to add this functionality.

Some tweaks and additional layouts have been added since the last post, for anyone who hasn't been keeping up.

More to come! Hope everyone is enjoying!

@KTuner

The release notes is dated 1/25/2020. Can you confirm the Lite version 1.7 has been updated since 1/25? I want to make sure I don’t already have the latest version as I installed after 1/25.

Also, is uninstalling the old version on the HU required or just simply install over the old version? Thank you for your hard work!

After installing the latest TunerView Lite it shows as version 1.6.1. Is this correct or am I downloading the wrong apk?

It's possible Peter and I weren't on the same page for the versioning, but the apk currently available on the TunerView Lite Help section is the current one! If you have the feature options you're good to go. If there's a conflict I'll update the thread with the correct v number!

Yup. Appears you're correct. Thank you, sir!

ktuner i have to ask, is there any difference what so ever if we upload the tune direct to ECU, or upload tune via tunerview from ktuner slot? is the slot save used for when you have made minor adjustments for e.g quick adjustments etc..? i have always wondered about this thats all.

cheers!

Same tune. If you upload to slot 1 and then flash direct to ECU afterward (Or vice versa), the same tune is in slot 1 ready to flash later unless you've made other changes to it before you uploaded. Meaning you can flash to factory at some point and then flash slot 1 via TunerView to get back to the same tune you just flashed later.

okay wel my usual way of doing things is, if i make an adjustment to a basemap which is currently uploaded to my ecu already, then i will use the save slot, but if i am going from a ' stage 1' to ktuner 'stage 2' i shall do it directly to ecu, is this okay?

You can flash direct or store the Stage 1 and Stage 2 in a slot to flash with TunerView later without a computer. It's the same.
