Ok just for clarification when you are saying stage 2(tune plus header or down pipe)you are talking about a downpipe?

Or are you referencing the stage 1(tune only) and the three maps they offer?

I’m having a bit of confusion.

I don’t want to have to upgrade my clutch for just a tune.

Thanks,
A2

I am referring to the Two Step Performance Stage 2 tune which consists of 3 maps. It’s like the Stage 1 tune but 2 is on Flex Fuel.

The tune is really aggressive down low especially w flex fuel and produces a lot of tq that the stock clutch cannot handle. Therefore you’d need beefier clutch to be able to put down the power.

Nice man, thank you for service. Def not an easy feat to be over there for that amount of time.

I currently have TSP Stage 1, luckily no slippage has occurred for me yet (knock on wood haha) but I’m scared going to the Stage 2 will melt my clutch instantly and force me to put it out of service earlier than what i expected it to last.

And thank you for the support! You have no idea how much joy it brings me to be recognized!
I'm running the tsp stage 1 with bolt ons and it slips nasty it's going to slip forsure with the tsp stage 2

Right now, i only have the Mishimoto Intake and TSP Stage 1 tune. No sign of slippage yet (knock on wood haha) but hopefully it holds up until i can get CTR Retrofit !

Flex fuel with a stock clutch is a recipe for (clutch) disaster.

The stock clutch will slip boost above 22psi. If you have bolt-ons and are using map 3 in sports mode than you are running way above 22psi

It will just don't floor it on low rpm and don't get more bolt ons

I typically only floor it around 4k rpms .. she’s seen a lot of 3rd and 4th gear pulls. Other than that, I don’t launch her or anything. Feel like i will break something doing that

So I’m running the TSP Stage 1 usually always Map 3 and about 80/20 normal/sport and I drive pretty aggressive.

Are you saying I’m gonna start seeing clutch slippage?

I think max boost at WOT is 24 PSI

It’s a 3 year lease so I don’t really want to buy an aftermarket clutch if possible...

You potentially could. But from my understanding is don’t floor it in the low rpms because you’re putting more load on the trans and clutch to work harder.

That’s typically how i drive but not so aggressive. I do occasionally go roll racing.
