TSP flex fuel converter issues

Good Morning !

I installed my Plug and Play flex fuel setup from TSP last night. I followed the instructions down to the bone. I swapped the wires that go into the Ethanol content sensor as well. Looking at the PIDs I see that the Ethanol sensor itself reads 5 volts, but I am still reading a ethanol content of 0%. I took a voltmeter to the harness and started to check for power and ground. I tested these with my vehicle KOEO, the Ktuner FCC read source voltage, the Ethanol content sensor read source voltage as well. All grounds are good as well. There is a 3 pin connector that connects the ECT2 to the dedicated ground and power, it is a white wire, I tested at the 3 pin and found no 5V ref. Now the EC2 sensor lives in hell and I would like to know before I start ripping my bumper off, is that EC2 connector being connected the wrong way or does it only connect one way?

Have @francomakou take a look at it.. sounds like a wire might be swapped in the harness....?:hmm: @Two Step Performance
His sensor wire was in the middle, had him switch it out to red, black, white.. black being in the middle like mine.. still didn't work. I'm in Arizona so I can't take a look at it until next week

May need to check his blinker fluid

Only one way to connect it. It is a bit tricky to get your hands on it but you certainly should not have to remove the bumper. I believe you would actually expect the 5V from the ECU from the wire that is labeled VOUT1 from the Ktuner FFC. The white wire on the 3 pin ECS harness is routed to the input on the FFC, not the ECT2 connector. (which also is a white wire, at the connector)

VOUT1 is the ethanol voltage output. VOUT2 is a 2.5v reference for testing. VOUT1 should never be 5v. If the input is 5v ethanol should read 0, as that is out of range and an error signal.

So I should check VOUT2 for 2.5 volt ref ?

To clarify my statement regarding 5V, I’ve seen 5V from the ECT2 connector (the signal being from the ECU) when not plugged into anything else. 5V would not come from VOUT1 on the FFC. Same wire, wrong end, if that makes any sense.

To avoid any further confusion, I will continue our troubleshooting via direct email, having two channels of communication open at the same time can get messy. Thanks
