Has this happened to anyone else? I noticed this was hanging down like such when i was looking in the rear view camera today. It’s holding on by the electrical wire for the light. I can pop it in but after a couple miles its falls out again. Any fix for this besides spending a couple hours in the service department? Excuse the filth.

It is the license plate light housing, look you may loose some parts....

No choice to see the dealer IMO

You can use silicone sealant (RTV), it would be easier if you want replace later on.

Thanks. I’m just curious does anyone know how this is usually held together? Clip, adhesive? Wondering if someone tried to pry it open.

I’m not sure if it’s model specific. But mine is a light and button to pop the trunk when the key fob is in near distance. I have the 17’ ext Sedan.

I'd try to bend out this clip and put it back

or try to remove the plastic part in which it holds

Yeah I’ll give that a try when i get off work. Weird if that’s the only thing holding it in. That’s why i was wondering if it was a common problem. Guess I have to spend a couple hours in the service department this weekend :(
