Is there any tricks to get this to work better or is this a known issue?

Trying to update Honda Hack but my carplay system either doesn't detect my phone's hotspot or it does detect it and says there is no signal. I managed to get my hotspot to work as wifi a few times but it's very inconsistent..

If you're connected to carplay, you can't hotspot.

Figured it out on my lunch break...

so apparently it CAN work even when connected to carplay, but I have to delete my iPhone from my carplay's wifi first then re-add it and it works. Sucks that I might have to do this every time though..

Well if that is the case, you may just need to setup an automation.
