Any new progress?
thanks for checkin in.

life happened in a big way in the last Year. But I’m now getting settled in a better condition I was before.
I haven’t done much to the civic. I got snow tires on the stock wheels. And of course it hasn’t snowed since….

i did however order enkei ts5 in bronze (stock size) with advan sport a/s tires. I’m really excited about these.

They should be here next week. But they’re for warmer months so it be a minute till they’re on the car.

very cool 👍🏻 I need to tinker around with my tuner. Got all kinds of goodies to put to my car just haven’t had time. Last I’ve been able to mess with it was a year ago now. Dust should be settling by the spring.

I went to replace the RF axle cause the boot had a hole in it and slings grease around. But the after market axle was the wrong one. It was too short and the stub shaft was too small. So I had to throw the old shaft back in. I’ll order a new one from Honda on Monday.
But I threw my new wheels on and I love them!. The offset looks good, just shy of flush. I didn’t get a weight vs the stock wheels but the Enkeis felt lighter ( maybe 2lbs). Yokohama advan a/s sport in stock size.
Now I want bigger brakes on it

Weird that the TPMS warning light isn’t on. I don’t think tire rack put monitors in them. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Maybe the tpms defaults to off?

These use an indirect system, so you have to allow it to calibrate. I think it's in the Vehicle menu. Make sure your tires are aired up right then drive it around. I do that when I go from stock wheels with snow tires to my Motegi MR131 with BFGs.

Your car's looking pretty good with those wheels!

Thanks! I like the look of the wheels, it’s subtle and not flashy.
I recalibrated tpms it with out sensors in the wheels, I’m sure it’s a matter of Time before it comes back on

You have to calibrate it 3x times in a row for the car to register/save the new tire size. Wheels look good!

I ordered a rf axle assembly, axle nut and new cir-clip. $270!! RF axles are on national back order, so it’ll probably be a few weeks before I see it.

Brand new factory axle, nut and circlip. There’s something sensational about new Honda parts.
It’s all installed and happy again!

I upgraded to Koni adjustable shocks and struts. I did the rear first, and those were the easiest shocks I’ve ever replaced. It took about 45 minutes for the rear. The shocks and struts are such nice pieces that fit just like oem.

The ride is incredible. It’s night and day improvement over the stock dampers. Every aspect of the car has improved. Braking because less front dive, cornering because improved compression and rebound firmness. And shifting and acceleration from less dive between shifts.
I haven’t made any adjustments yet, just as they come out of the box.
so far this was my favorite mod. Highly recommend 10/10

Sorry for the lack of install pictures. I’d be a horrible ambassador or influencer

i registered for a track day!! It’s some time out and I might see about getting into one sooner or some autox events in the area. But I’m excited! It will be my first time on a track and a life goal!

Congrats you’re going to love it! I’ve had my 07 WRX STI, my C5 Corvette and my 5th Gen Camaro SS at Laguna Seca and Willow Springs tracks here in California, it’s so much fun you’ll have a blast!
Great progress on the car keep us updated!

I was having a clunk in the rear after installing the shocks. I made sure everything was tight and correct. I noticed that it did it mostly on straight bumps like you’d find with cracks across the road or road repairs. It didn’t do it while in corners or on individual wheel bumps. So I figured it was sway bar end links. I ordered a set of whiteline endlinks to match the rear sway bar. They where easy to Install and I can use the optional mounting holes on the sway bar.
the clunk went away and the rear feels much tighter.
