Is it advisable to put a hitch on my new touring? It will only be use to put on a bike rack.

Is it advisable to do a rust proof to the car like an Oil Guard product.

I put a hitch on my Touring for a bike rack. I don't consider that "towing", so it shouldn't affect the CVT warranty. But I don't know if Honda would say anything. Worst case, if the CVT fails, remove the hitch before bring it to the dealer.

P.S. - You will have to drill holes into the frame to install the hitch as there aren't any pre-drilled since you are not supposed to use a hitch.

I installed one of these on my LX, I use it with a small trailer and my bicycle rack. No holes to drill, but the bumper cover and bumper has to be removed for installation.
