Hey R family. Kind of an odd way to start off my first post ever on this forum but I finally threw up my hands after searching far and wide for the answer to my dilemma. So first off, I frequently Autocross my cars. I know the Type R "stock" is currently classed DS according to SCCA (I think) however I am not too concerned with being bumped out of class as I also autocross my ST which is my GoTo for this type of event. What I am looking to do with the Type R is mainly road courses and other HPDE events with the occasional trips to AutoX. I've already Autox'd the R and my first impression is that the tires have got to go; along with these heavy ass 20s. I have been looking for the correct wheel and tire option that will give me the light weight performance while not causing the tires to rub under load. Already know that the RE71r's are going to be the tires but the size has been boggling my mind. I am on factory suspension now but I am looking to lower the car either on Swift Spec R springs or Spoon. My selection will depend on the rear sway bar and what tire size I end up with. SOoo with that over lengthy explanation out of the way, what is the best wheel size to go with the optimum tire size without having to modify my fenders. If rubbing is just a natural fact then I'll just have to suck it up but any input from you all will help. I have a list of what I had considered so far (all are 18x9.5 or 9
