Wow, a 60 month lease for only 559 a month! Yikes.
It's not much better in USD, about 550/month. Though that's not unreasonable for a 35k car, but at that point you might as well buy it outright through a loan. If you really wanted a V6 Camry, I'd do the TRD over the XSE, the only major downside is that it doesn't have passthrough seats due to the stuff they added in the rear to increase rigidity, it goes for 5k less or about 450/month. The TRD Camry is the cheapest way to get the 301HP V6 NA motor.

Yep, and unfortunately the TRD is based off of the SE trim, not the XSE, so you do lose a bit in the form of amenities.

However... that catback exhaust sounds SPICY. Amazing sound for something as mundane as a Camry.

$559 CAD is $422 USA quite a difference but still yikes for a 5 year lease.
If you check the lease pricing on Toyota's US website, it comes out to 550/mo if you really want to do a 5 year lease. You might as well buy the car at that point though.

Had a 350z before my civic. It was a fun car. If I wanted to race, I would’ve got a type R. The 1.5 engine (especially on a CVT) is fun, but it’s not for racing. It’s a daily driver and fuel efficient. Be happy with what you got.

Always agree with buying. Pricing & cost might be location & credit rating related = I get $239 for 36 month low mileage (10k) with $3k down - couldn't get it to easily change period but doubt I'd hit near $550 if I went to 5 years - that seems more like the buy pricing. (My buy cost was $611 with 2k down for 60 months.)

3000 down, great (not excellent) credit is about 525 a month for a 60 month lease.

I pay about that for my Type R. Oof. Not to mention my vehicle isn't leased either. $525 for a 60 month lease is outrageous...

It's close to outright buying it to be honest. The payments for it financed is about 600/mo for 60 months which makes sense for a 35k car, that's about how much I'm financing on my car right now. Remember, the V6 XSE Camry's price point is where the Civic Type R's price point is.

Keep in mind that the TRD still comes in at 450/mo to lease and about 550 to purchase.

Get use to being beaten, you are in a Civic and playing childish antics with cars more powerful than you. You two could have settled it at the stop light by getting out of your cars and measuring each other.
Who pissed in your coffee ?

Why are the prices so high? These are Toyotas. Shouldn't they have high residuals and thus that should lower the lease payments?

They're no different than the Accords. A 2.0T Accord goes for about 30k. But you get the V6 motor putting out 300 HP and a pretty deluxe interior. Full leather, Toyota Safety Sense, Heated/cooled seats (possibly wheel too), a bunch of other goodies too. Most of the interior materials are soft touch with leather in many of the touch surfaces. Basically the interior does rival an entry level luxury brand.

I came from an Infinti G35 and I agree with this statement. Wouldn't trade my civic for anything else in its category, certainly not for another G35 lol.
