Wheel and tire beginner here. Looking at getting some Advan TC-4s in 18x9 +53. Anyone have recommendations on what tire size to use with stock suspension?

I'm thinking either 245/40-18 or 255/40-18. 255 seems like it would fit the wheels better, but would there be issues with rubbing?

255/40 might be a better choice. I wouldn’t imagine any rubbing with those wheels with a stock setup.

It might not impact your decision much. 255/40/18 raises the ride height by 3.1mm (assuming no other modifications) with corresponding impact to acceleration and speedometer.

In practice, very minor.

Thanks all! Looks like I'll be going with 255/40 :)
