So my wheels should be here in a couple months and i'm looking at tire choices. Currently wanting to try 265/35-18. Does anyone have these specs on a lowered type R? ill be on swift springs. I just don't want to roll fenders or anything crazy to get them to fit.

You will need to trim the rear fenders and probably add camber in the front to not rub.

Front guide pin removal on front strut will give you 0.5 more camber up front, rear fender modification (trim) as well.. and thats for 18x9.5 +35 _ 255/40/18 on SWIFT.

2021 update to this thread for those searching.

Stock Suspension
Konig Ampliform 18x9.5 +35
Falken Azenis RT660 255/40 R18

Front rub is slight, mostly on angles (up and down driveways). I did pull the front guide pins for an autocross alignment (-2 at the moment), but I might need to run a half or full degree more camber to help with the rub.

Rear rub is...unnerving. :) For sure will need to trim the plastic fender extensions and will evaluate to see if metal needs to be modified. If metal needs to be modified, I might go back to the 8.5 width version of this wheel. I will also consider more camber in the back, but my limit for autocross handling is around -2.5.

+35 is just a bad offset for this car. +45 is best and would give you no rub, no trimming, etc. +38 is the lowest I'd go on a 9.5"

After looking at the rear fenders, there is no way this combo will fit without metal work, even with -3 camber. (Konig Ampliform 18x9.5 +35 / Falken Azenis RT660 255/40 R18)

I suppose a much shorter/narrower tire could work.

Motegi MR147 18x9.5 +45 seems to be just enough to make it all fit. But...I might go back to the Motegi MR147 18x8.5 +35. No real need for the 9.5 wheel, except to run with the cool kids.

I'm running 265/35/18 Yokohama Advan Apex on Volk CE28SL 18x9.5 +35, removed front alignment pins, bent front fender tab, Eibach Sportline Springs and SPC Rear camber arms with -1.5F/-2.5R camber. NO FENDER TRIMMING

I have only ever rubbed on a huge bump in comfort mode with full load in trunk, however when I am in Sport/+R, I have no issues.

It is definitely the tire size here. 265/35 is shorter than 255/40, but the mold size of the RT660 makes the tire wider. I see posts of this wheel/tire size combo working, but with an all season or something less aggressive.

+45 is my target for a 9.5 wheel.

Final update to this thread. Kept the Azenis ( Falken Azenis RT660 255/40 R18 ), but swapped wheels to Titan T-S5 18x9.5 +45 and it fits just fine. No rubbing, but, the inner part of the plastic fender-overs was already shaved off from the day I ran the +35 Ampliforms, so that might have made a difference.

When time for tires, I'll probably move to a shorter size, maybe 255/35.
