It's been a while, but was wondering if you have ever tinted your tail lights? I have a black hatchback too looking to do the same.

I have the tail lights on my 17 hatch tinted, see below pic. No issues with ppl being able to see them either when I hit the brakes even during the day. Left the clear part clear so it does not have any impact on my turn signals or my projector back up lights.

Smoked reverse/turn signal, will be installing blackout taillight deck soon. All from Premium Auto Styling, pre-cut Avery. Cheap and easy to install

I did vinyl tint over just the clear reflector area covering the reverse and turn signals. Used the Premium Auto Styling precut pieces. These are 'smoked' level of darkness. Has very minimal effect, if any, on the brightness and output of the stock bulbs.

PRO TIP: Absolutely use the wet application method and use a heat gun.
