Right, makes sense. I've used fuse taps in the past before with success. Actually, I didn't frame my original Q correctly, but I think I answered it anywho. šŸ˜… Thanks! I'm becoming more interested in the EDFC Active Pro.
I enjoy electrical work! And I have the active pro sitting in my drawer at work as well lol....currently using the edfc2. Still works great and love it.

I kinda do also. šŸ˜… I am interested in the EDFC Active Pro because it's wireless (plus all the features), though I am wondering 1. where to tap into switched power under the hood, and 2. where to mount the wireless motor driver unit because the underside of the unit says that it's hot, but how hot could I get?

For the switched power, I can use a fuse tap in the fusebox.

For mounting, I have a couple of spots in mind, but they depend on the temp of that underside of the driver unit. I've reached out to Tein for clarification. I'll let you know what they say.

GREAT BUILD!

Just read all 23 pages... damn...

Unless I missed it, you didn't cover your Rear Spoiler LED installation.

Wondering how you routed the cabling down into the trunk?

Planning something similar and concerned about water ingress...
Thanks!

Hey I do have some things I haven't covered yet but when I'm free I'll get to it lol.

For the roof bar I don't have any pictures of it at the moment but I can take some soon.

The kit actually includes a rubber trim that slips between the glass and the C pillar running down to the trunk. The wiring goes behind that.

Once it reaches the trunk it goes under the trunk rubber seal and into the trunk.

Then you wire it up how you like.

The lighting options are:
1. Running light (dim red light ON when lights ON)
2. Left and right sequential signals
3. Brake light.

For me I didn't want a 3rd running light as it'll look like a constant brake light. Although when braking the running light does get brighter. But I wanted it off.

Wasn't too big a fan of sequential rear signals so opted not to do that either.

So all I did was hook up the wiring for just the brake light.

Hey, do you happen to have a link or source for these grommets? I also would like to get one thatā€™s identical to OEM.

I do not but I can probably ship one out to you? I just take them off harnesses. You can also go to the junk yard and cut any grommet out yourself

Got it. I emailed Unity, but havenā€™t heard back yet (NW, I know yā€™all are busy šŸ™šŸ¼), but didnā€™t know if yā€™all sold the EDFC by itself. I already have Flex Zs. Yes, thatā€™d be great, if you could send one out to me with the kit. IDK if thereā€™s a local yard near me with 10th gens.

Hey! Been a while. It's not a 10th gen specific grommet. You can pull one off any harness. I may have one in my drawer at work haha.

Haven't posted these.

As mentioned earlier the type r rear calipers is a direct swap onto any 10th gen. As a matter of fact all 10th gen rear calipers are the same. One difference being the type r caliper is aluminum and factory painted so it won't rust like the traditional calipers.

The only difference being the bracket, As it is longer or shorter depending on the trim. Regardless what trim you have you can reuse the existing brackets and use the type r calipers. No modifications needed at all!

Also before the 2022 winter I replaced both front wheel bearings and hubs. Car had roughly 130,000 km and you can see the rust build up on the hub and back of the rotor hat! Replaced bearings, hub and cleaned the back of the rotors!
