Do I need the prl ss line for the clutch and cmc upgrade from eman?

I'll be getting it installed when it arrives here hopefully with the next week so I'm curious if I should order it now.
I would recommend it. Get it all done at the same time.

How about powder coat or painting the valve cover. I am looking to do that but not familiar with reinstalling the cover in terms of Honda bond, order of torquing or torque amount. I was thinking to buy an OEM replacement so I didn’t have downtime. I wonder also if there is a difference in benefits to powder coating or high heat paint. I’m getting closer to being done performance mods and now I am looking to do some engine bling. Cheers.

Hey

Not sure how well powder coat and curing process will work with the plastic valve covers unlike the older metal/aluminum covers, however you can get wrinkle high heat paint and primer and spray it yourself.

Instead of getting a new oem cover find a used one, clean and paint that. Order the valve cover gasket kit from honda and have that ready.

Honda bond is applied to any 45 or 90 degree sharp corners but doesn't hurt to apply a thin layer all around.

Torque sequence with any valve cover i always start at the middle and work my way out in a cross pattern, never had any issues and hand tightened it. Its a 10mm bolt I can't see the torque number being significantly high. Probably 8 to 15 ftlbs.

The only thing that kept myself from painting a cover for my car is the fact that there are so many dam hoses, wires etc running all over it so didnt really interest me in spending all that time to have most of it covered up.

Hope this helps.

Love the build man. Wondering how much you are dropped on those tein coils and how do you like them?

Looking at a coilover upgrade down the line and I see they include the cancelling unit for adaptive dampening so I'm interested in them

I think i'm dropped about 1.5 inches all around, I have about a 1 finger gap. I don't rub at all with my current setup.

Tires are 245/40 on 18x9.5+38 so the slight stretch clears the fender line and never had issues. Front has about a negative 1.5 degree camber and rears about negative 2.5 degrees of natural camber (no camber arms). I do want to go with a slightly more aggressive tire/wheel setup so will be raising the car up when the time comes. I still have about 1 inch of drop available.

Overall I absolutely love the Teins, amazing for street driving (i haven't tested them on the track yet but feel they may be a little on the softer side)

I highly recommend you getting the EDFC controller and motors to adjust damping on the fly, you can see POST 101 for details on that. Main reason i recommend this is because the rear damper adjustment is practically impossible to get to unless you jack up the car/take the wheel off even then it might be difficult because of the location.

I have no ADS lights thanks to the included cancellers! I actually didn't know they came with the coils until i received the package. So added bonus haha! Everyone that has driven my car speaks highly of them!

Thanks for the detailed response man! Yeah I definitely want to go coilovers with a flush look, I really like the fitment of your setup, I was previously considering 18x9+35. Definitely need a set of coils good for street and day to day driving as that's where most of my driving is. Will definitely look into the edfc controller, I actually didn't even know they offered something like that. That will definitely save a lot of headaches and time hahah

Cheers bro

Whiteline adjustable lower front balljoint!

Probably the only set out in the world for testing out of Whitelines headquarters lol.

These balljoints will be available through @Unity Performance very soon! Onto the product.

Overall build quality is amazing and it is a pretty straight forward install. After install i immediately noticed the steering its much stiffer and feels a lot better. And smoother. Highly recommend this for anyone on stock shocks that want more camber without having the need to buy coil overs. Or if you want more camber than the coils can offer.

Overall very pleased with this product!!!!

I took as many pictures as I can in order to cover each stage. If you have any pictures feel free to ask away!

Tools needed:
17mm socket
17mm box end wrench
18mm socket
19mm flex socket
Desired 1/2inch length extension
36mm axle nut socket
Balljoint separator, hammer, air hammer

Had to use these jacks on each wheel to raise the car in order to get the hoist arms underneath haha! The Mugen sides hang lower than the oem side skirts.

Remove 19mm castle nut...as you can see that's not possible.

I installed the castle nut first along with the cotter pin
Honda Civic 10th gen Thuseefc - Mugen Si 20201027_181241

Installed lower balljoint bolt and nut but when tightening I pushed it in all the way for a oem spec install. (Didn't need too much more camber yet)
Used a 17mm box end wrench to hold the top of the bolt while using a gun with 18mm socket to tighten the bottom nuts.
Tightened axle nut to 190 foot lbs.
