We all know it's not if our batteries will take a crap on us, but when. For those still carrying around a clunky mess of jumper cables, do yourself a favor, check out something like this. I have this one personally and a little carrying case for it and the small 1000 amp model is good for vehicles to 6 liters. I love mine. So far only used it on other's rigs, but every six months or so, I just plug it in to keep it topped.

Ironically, it fits my 2017 Honda Civic.

Actually, it really may not fit. I bought this model for my NSX, but found that the alligator clamps were too large to fit onto the positive terminal. I think the Civic is the same, unless you remove that red plastic shroud that is around the positive terminal. I ended up having to buy replacement slim alligator clamps.

I've heard and seen horror stories of people bump starting interference engines and this causing them to skip timing and bend valves. I was under the impression that all honda engines are interference engines. Granted that was on eclipses with timing belts vs timing chains in the hondas.

It says safe to store it up to 50C/122F, that would be a damn hot car to be over that temperature.

Looks like you can get a 20000 amp version for when the space station needs a boost.
