The Type R is selling at a premium. This is what I paid for mine.....

nah cuz people forget type r's have always been made and sold elsewhere in the world and sold for MSRP or under and still are; the car is not underpriced. People in USA are just inpatient is all and the availability of easy credit makes it an easy decision unlike other countries.
When the second gen type r will sell for MSRP max. Especially when we have used high and low mileage type-r's in the market. The usa market is just not a mature one when it comes to the type-r.
They offered too little on your trade. They will resell that sport hatch manual for 21k and is more RARE than a type-r lol. I was offered 17k on a ext cvt with honda sensing but got 4775 off msrp on a Civic SI

no 24k. I had a trade-in. The way the numbers worked out I ended up paying 1k to get from under my EXT. They discounted the SI 4800 and offered 17k for my old EXT. I put down 3k. 1k to get from out of the car and 2k for the upgrade. plus only paid taxes on 20000 (800 at 4% in VA)and got some back since I traded in soon. so it all worked out very well. You bought your 17 Si for 20k?

The EXT was 22,200 OTD 0 down 0.9% apr. Drove it for 7 months put 12k miles on it. so paid 3k ish to drive the car in the end for that long. Not bad but not money you want to forfeit on the regular.
I don't think it's ever going to qualify for 0.9. Best you can get is from credit union or 1.9. By better deal you are maybe talking about 500 dollars. Not sure if it's worth the wait lolThe way I see it is they sold you the Si for 24k and trade value was 17k on the EXT. My dealer just offered me 18k for my EXT cvt and priced the Si at 21750. But Honda 0.9 isn't on the Si so I'm holding out another month or two. And the 2018 Si are hitting the lots. So a 2018 Si on Jan/Feb 25th might be a better deal.

On paper they sold me the SI for 20k and offered 17k for the EXT. I said 24k because that's more realistic of the price paid after taking out the 1k i paid to get from under my EXT. OTD was 25K even with my trade. Financing 22k
Honda’s now offering .9 on the ‘17 Si.The way I see it is they sold you the Si for 24k and trade value was 17k on the EXT. My dealer just offered me 18k for my EXT cvt and priced the Si at 21750. Where? Can't find it on honda financial , Honda's site or dealer sites. Only thing I see that is new on a 17' SI is a lease special.Honda’s now offering .9 on the ‘17 Si.

Hmm, only someone getting a SI and getting 0.9APR. But even if you look no Type R exclusion on the hatchbacks either. I'm going to er that the website is wrong and when you go purchase the car is when you will see it does not qualify for 0.9 APRNo Si disclaimer as has always been the case. Must be an omission on Honda’s part.
