Not sure how big the club is for 200,000 miles but add me in! I had to drive around a few extra miles after work to get to 200k and then into the sun to make sure the dash was in the shade to get a better photo. Pardon the dust. Been a challenge to keep the car clean this the winter.

No significant mods or issues to report other than finally getting the rest of the parts to finish the installation of the Tein Flex Z coilovers and Active Pro control system. That setup begins a whole other chapter for this car.

It seems like my initial comments were confusing. My comments are not an attack on the data collected or how it is collected. I understand this forum is a small group compared to all 10th gen Si owners. I only wanted to point out that a gear upgrade is an important mod to consider for those of us who are pushing our cars. The lower reported numbers may make it seem like it is a problem for extreme cases when it is still a problem for stage 1 builds, which may be more dependent on driving style vs. torque. I respect the effort to collect the data and only want to promote an important mod based on additional data. Just trying to be a contributor towards good reliable build strategy.
It did feel a bit attacky, but I understand what you are saying as well and now take what you say at face value. I can say, I bet the amount of activity and active users here is down from when this forum launched and when GTMAN published the original post for this thread. So he may have missed a shot at a bunch of users being able to report issues because they no longer visit here. I know even I, who has been here since almost day 1 dont update my stats in this thread often If I had a $1 for every time GTMAN jumped in my dms or tagged me here to update, I'd have lots of dollars lol :) Hope you have a great weekend!

I went over 200k a couple months ago on my 2016 ext. Would have sooner, but Covid killed a year of driving, and then it was down another 9 months with blown Turbo and the blown head gasket last year.

How many cars are in this group? I'll continue to add miles as this is my daily commuter with a 120 mile round trip.

Have you got the car back up and running?? I had an RDX when they first came out. Lots of fun with the turbo in that thing. I had a high trim level at the time and could talk to the car. I miss that car. I was an Acura fan for a while.

I think there are only 3 cars in the thread in the 200,000+ mile club. You and dallas have the most tuned miles driven by far though.

Does this include all 10th gens? This is the first car that I've owned and driven continuously. I've had other cars with more miles that other owners contributed too. I really hope to keep this car maintained well enough to see another 200k. It really is a fun car to drive.

I don't know what you mean. This thread only includes 10th gens.:dunno:
I meant the variants of the 10th gen. The more I think about it, I guess there isn't much difference between them all to suggest one variant should have more longevity than another. We should all be able to reach high mileage at some point and expect the car to hold up about the same. Other than my armrests, the interior is mint. Some hardware under the car is suffering now, but still in reasonable shape. Mechanically, the car has been sound for all of my miles. I just figured the Si would be driven less since it was a MT car and probably less likely to be driven as long. Silly of me to think that.

Up until this car, all my cars were MT. And I keep all my cars a long time. Plenty of MT owners do the same, especially with this 10th gen, considering how rare manuals are these days.

Also keep in mind stats-wise Si's are only 43% of the thread. That may be part of why you see low-ish overall amounts MT failures in the thread. Lots of tuned CVTs here as well.

Vehicle: 2017 Civic EX-T Sedan CVT

Total tuned time: 6 Days

Tuned miles driven: 550 miles

Tuning device(s) used:
Ktuner V2

Tunes used: Phearable 1.5r Non Si

Fuel Used: Walmart 93

Additional related mods: Mishimoto CAI, RV6 Catted DP/FP , Mufflers and res replaced with one ultra quiet res , Eneki rpf1s

Problems/issues:
Boost won’t go past 17 in map 3, When coming down from higher speeds some jittering when coming to a stop around 1-2k rpm

Driving style: Less aggressive usually less than 50% throttle and in map 1 but small amounts of time in map 3 ripping it trying to get my boost up.

Tune experience notes: Very well put together tune much faster driving around town just need to get my boost pressure issue fixed being software related or a leak
Update From 9/14/24

Vehicle: 2017 Civic EX-T Sedan CVT

Total tuned time: Almost 5 months

Tuned miles driven: 15,000 Miles

Tuning device(s) used:
Ktuner V2

Tunes used: Phearable 1.5r Non Si

Fuel Used: Walmart 93 Sometimes Shell

Driving style: Still the same

Problems/issues: Fixed boost leak with help from GtMan can reach designated boost psi, car running unusually lean during idle though as ive seen most are running rich. When on the throttle lean numbers go up for the stft, if i keep on it the ltft keep rising aswell. Possible exhaust leak? Small smell of gas outside but dont know if thats my downpipe affecting it. Sometimes when on highest map 23 PSI car sputters when going up all the way. I havent gotten around to gapping my spark plugs smaller dont know that could also be the cause. Id appreciate if someone could view my log and let me know how it looks. Thanks

Jonathon, thanks for the tuned miles update.

I won't be at my computer until tomorrow to check out your log. A few quick questions. How many total miles on your car? Are you getting a misfire CEL? Have you checked your PCV valve and hose?

Ive got 168,000 Miles, Ive gotten 2 misfire codes one while on map 3 pushing 22-23 boost wot a few pulls after the last one a CEL light came on car went limp mode I restarted car and it went away and drove an hour back home no issue. Second time I believe was because i left my coil pack not completely plugged in i got a misfire and had to reset battery as well as drive a bit before i could clear the code to stay away. Never gotten and other misfire except for when i was really pushing the car hard in max boost, but map 1 pushing it no misfires. I checked PCV valve recently cleaned it off and it still rattles aswell. I havent checked the hose yet.
