Apparently he isn't making it up

Pulled from here

I was sure I was going to find you the code to use in defense, because that's pretty silly.

The equivalent code in Illinois:
I have smoked but they light up amber at night.

which ones are those?? is it just smoked amber? I've got some smoked white lights.

The officer also made a comment that my rear side markers are red so they're fine but I didn't know there was a rule on that also.

Barely seeing this list of mods. I thought it was powertrain mods only. You can update mine with a catch can.

I've used these on both of my Gen X Civics. If the light doesn't come on at first, just turn the plug around. There are literally dozens of versions to choose from. Some even have chasing blinkers and other lighting displays.

@Triple_peaz So about that. You don't ever want to edit an older post. I won't see edits you make to old posts from last year. Do a new update post instead showing additional tuned miles and changes so I can update the thread stats.

What are your newly installed mods? What are your current tuned miles driven?

Since the site is so crazy slow, I have the feeling people aren't popping by the thread anymore.

If your car is in the thread, when you do visit the site, make a quick post with your current tuned miles driven. It'll take 15 seconds but it will help.

Just trying to keep this study going with updated stats. With no new info added, the thread is basically useless.

Just a quick mileage/time update for ya @gtman, breaking the "every 10k" mold for some thread traffic. No issues or other changes to report :headbang:

Vehicle: 2018 Civic EX Hatch CVT

Total tuned time: 1 year and 1 month

Tuned miles driven: 34,000 (123k at time of tuning, 157k total miles)

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V1.2

Tunes used: Phearable 1.5R

Fuel used: Sam's Club 93/Delta Sonic 93 + about 1 gal e85

Additional related mods: PRL stage 1 silicone hose, aFe Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S filter, FK8 RMM

Problems/issues: No new issues to report. I've just been adding a gallon of e85 on top of every fill-up and haven't had any knock issues since.

Driving style: Quick and confident, definitely not anything crazy but I like to have a little fun getting to speed. The power the Phearable 1.5R has at highway speeds is incredible, especially in map 2 and 3. I let the car stretch her legs once or twice a day.

Tune experience notes: I've got nothing but praise for the guys at Ktuner and for John Vega for his tune. It's smooth, it's refined, and it's powerful when you ask for it. I use map 1 much more infrequently than I initially did, typically leaving it in map 2 and switching up to 3 when I want to have some fun. The power is addicting and I love this car.

Here is a quick update at 199K miles.

Vehicle: 2019 Civic Si (sedan)

Total tuned time: 5 years

Tuned miles driven: 180K miles-ish

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V2

Tunes used: Phearable 2.5 (flex fuel)

Fuel used: Speedway 93 with Speedway e85 (35%)

Additional related mods: See my signature block for a general list. I did install CAPTS 5th gear and now have 3-5 upgraded. I now feel much better making highway pulls in 5th. Looking forward to track days this season where I will see time in 5th.

Problems/issues: No new issues to report other than my drivers side outer CV boot is cracking. It's original to the car, so that's not too bad. I'll swap axles when the weather warms up.

Driving style: Aggressive.

Tune experience notes: I recently got a revision to my tune for adding a PRL intercooler. That made a big difference in overall power delivery and it carries to redline now. After communicating with Phearable, there doesn't seem to be much more I can do with the tune as I am about at the limit with my configuration. I'm not all about power as I am about finding good balance. This tune is good on power for what the car can actually put down on the street and the track. More power isn't going to make me a better driver. I feel this power level is very reliable as is the rest of the car. I'm looking forward to the next 199K miles.

I’m still here El Guapo!!! Just don’t drive much at all. Only on my third tank of gas since early November it feels like.

See I think a lot of people are missing the point.

It's a tuning experience and long term reliability study. Something as basic as posting that you've driven 700 more problem free tuned miles since your last post makes a difference in terms of what I'm tracking. If 100 people posted that, it's 70,000 more successful tuned miles driven for the stats. So those 3 tankfuls of driving are meaningful. This stuff adds up.

Of course nobody is really doing this so the thread is kind of a ghost town. As I said earlier today:

"If your car is in the thread, when you do visit the site, make a quick post with your current tuned miles driven. It'll take 15 seconds but it will help."

Total tuned time: 4 years

Tuned miles driven: 46,000

Tuning device(s) used:
Hondata CARB Flashpro

Tunes used: Hondata +6

Fuel used: 91 oct

Additional related mods: Eibach lowering springs, camber kit

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Casual with occasional bursts from time to time. Tune definitely made it more fun.

Tune experience notes: Went with the Hondata + 6 the whole time and never looked back. No problems with the car from the time I tuned to when I brought back to stock and sold the car.

Thanks for adding your car. I was one of the few who used the Hondata Flashpro CARB way back when. While it's limited a little bit, it's an excellent choice for set and forget tuning and the only CA CARB approved device.
