Problems/issues: Blown transmission
I added that info to your section of the failures thread. I've never seen anything like this. :( No words.

6 of 290 cars in the thread with CVTs have had the transmissions fail (2.1% failure rate).

Total tuned time: 6months
Tuned miles driven: around 6-7k miles
Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner 1.2v
Tunes used: Dual 21 PSI
Fuel used: 91 octane, thats the highest I can get on my area (California)
Additional related mods: None. 100% Stock at the moment
Problems/issues: No issue or any problems at the moment. I did everything on my regular maintenance on All Fluids.
Driving style: Normal on cities, sometimes spirited/aggressive on highway and sometimes WOT on freeway but Very rarely doing WOT on stop.
Tuning experience notes:
I used BBG to limit my 1st gear to 15psi only and im not sure if my engine is getting hotter than usual for using higher boost because im still not familiar with IAT and ECT yet.

Total tuned time: 1 Day

Tuned miles driven: 20

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Currently using Phearable Stage 1.5 non-si

Fuel used: Quality 91 (no 93 or e85 in area)

Additional related mods: Greddy Supreme SP Exhaust

Problems/issues: As of right now, I cannot get on the fly map switching working. Phearable's website has my ecu (5AN-AR2) listed as supported, so I'll have to dig around and see what's going on with that.

Driving style: Depends if the wife and dog are in the car. But tame, with fun bursts.

Tuning experience notes: Second mod I have installed on my car and my first tune. It was pretty simple after reading through KTuners instructions/watching some videos.

So I figured out my issue. With the instructions it says when you're selecting a map, it will show either 1, 2, or 3 on the tachometer. I thought the tachometer was the whole display and not just the RPMs, so when you change maps your "RPMs" will jump between 1, 2, or 3. So now I'm on map 3 with Phearable and absolutely loving it.

Yeah, the KTuner instructions would be better if they said Map 1 = 1000 rpm, Map 2 = 2000 rpm, Map 3 = 3000 rpm.

Once you get used to switching maps, it's really a sweet setup. IMO, this one feature puts it a notch above Hondata.

And don't forget that if u don't leave the Ktuner installed, it defaults back to 1 at power off. You can reselect it to 3 without plugging it back in, but map 3 [or 2] won't be retained.

What exactly is deg knock retard parameter you can view in ktuner? Their glossary really didn’t say much about what it means

2nd question in order to run a catalog do you have to be connected to WiFi to initiate it, like when you need to flash?
Also happy thanksgiving and everyone gets to enjoy themselves

1. Not an expert on that but I think that shows the amount of timing being pulled based on the knock control numbers the ECU sees.

2. Wifi has nothing to do with running a datalog.
