My Honda is back! Did the initial 60 mile break in with amsoil break in oil last night. Changed the oil with fresh break in oil and filter and now in the process of a 500 mile break in. It was so nice to finally be able to drive her into work today!

It was fun to watch the knock control go from 1.15 all the way down to .52 over a 2 hour break in period around town. I’m still on my former tune, but I can tell I’ll need the idle tuned plus more after break in is done. I added a flex fuel kit during the rebuild so I’ll be tuning for that as well when the time comes. I would like to see 300whp+ on e35 with 91 octane at 4000-5000 feet above sea level.

Tuned Time: About 2 years

Tuned mileage: 25,000+

Device: KTuner v2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1

Engine Mods: PRL Cobra short ram intake with Race MAF

3 inch AWE Track Exhaust

Problems/issues: Car runs rich, especially at idle. Just noticed it recently after watching fuel trims. Car likes to have rough cold starts.

Driving style: Mild with some pulls here every once and a while. Baby the car until it reaches operating temperature.

A thread milestone and a note...

500 of the 979 tuned cars in the thread have at least one bolt on.

So, about halfway thru the $200 Phearable giveaway, new cars added are at an all time low. It's pretty clear that the forum is going through a huge slowdown in activity, unfortunately.

We'll get to 1,000 tuned cars some day.

i did lower the minimal temp for the fans to turn on. i just forgot to mention that. how well would you say the koyorad radiator helps in comparison to oem?
Yet to test it to the limits, so I can't offer huge comment but it has been very solid - There is a notable improvement in the maintained temperature; Even with higher ambients it is difficult to get ECT1 above 80c / 180F.

Previously a pull would yield rapid increases in ECT; Now it seems to be soaked up by the radiator nicely.

Both the heat capacity and heat rejection of the cooling system are definitely up by a fair margin.

Vehicle: (EU) 2019 Civic Type R

Total tuned time: ~18 months (Approximate guess)

Tuned miles driven: ~35,000 (At ~41,000 Miles overall)

Tuning device(s) used: TDi Tuning Piggyback ECU; Now Hondata

Tunes used: Dream Hondata Basemap, US 93OCT Intercooler Basemap with minor tweaks to taste

Fuel used: Tesco Momentum 99, Shell V-Power 99, Esso Supreme Ultra - If I have to use 95 I'll use octane boosters or drive sensibly.

Additional related mods:
PRL Intake
PRL Intercooler
PRL Inlet Pipe
Remus Frontpipe
Remus Valved Exhaust
Koyorad
Spoon Radiator Cap
Forge Turbo Blanket & Custom Ceramic coated heatshield
Dream Throttle Body Coupler
Gold Taped Charge Pipe & Intake Box

(Assorted acuity transmission modifications, 2020 Brakes etc)

Problems/issues:
Water ingress on #4 Coil pack; Changed spark & cleaned up coil to resolve.

Driving style:
Trackdays / Handling days occasionally
Long trips - Motorway miles
Driving around town
Intense back-road driving

Usually it's a lot of any one of the above at a given time.

Tune experience notes:
Dream tune doesn't play nicely with newer versions of Hondata - Auto stop issues, starting issues etc.

Hondata Basemaps have been quite reliable:- Nothing much to say!

Servicing has been on the SVRs Schedule by Honda under the 5 year service plan; I have changed transmission oil more frequently.

STOCK CLUTCH!! holding up well.

Problems/issues: None so far

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time.

Tune experience notes: Enjoying the tuned experience much more than being stock. The best investment was definitely the KTuner V2, supporting mods did make it better for sound and performance.

Total tuned time: 39 moths

Tuned miles driven: 29,200+

Tuning device used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: KTuner dual Starter 21 with aggressive quick adjustments; TSP Stage 1 (just turned off a few check engine lights)

Additional related mods: PRL cobra CAI with race MAF / PRL turbo inlet pipe / PRL Front mount intercooler with PRL charge pipes / PRL high flow catted down pipe and PRL front pipe / RV6 Retrofitted Civic Type R flywheel and Exedy stage 0 clutch / PRL SS clutch line

Fuel type: Almost always pump Sunoco 93. Will pump Sheetz 93 if needed. Will pump Shell v power nitro if i can find it

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Unless in traffic, moderately aggressive accelerations. Usually run third and fourth gear to about 3500-5000 rmps at about 6-15lbs of boost (usually around quarter to half throttle). It's very hilly in south western PA with lots of back roads to rip down, often will see around 17-21lbs of boost when pulling up hills in third and fourth gear often only at half throttle. Occasional WOT in third and into fourth (Maybe once every two weeks). Rarely run second in WOT through fourth in WOT (Maybe every two months). Sometimes go to Mexico and do pulls with buddies (Maybe once or twice a year)

About to get a custom etune done, will follow up after that and post pics after giving er' a nice wash and wax. Heres a teaser...

Due to the lack of interest in the $200 contest (almost all entries have been updates, not new cars added as hoped) the contest has ended today. A major disappointment.

I'll announce the winner tomorrow.

Vehicle: "The Hotness™️" 2019 Civic Si Coupe

Total tuned time: 2 hours ? I'll update in a new post after some time. 2 months+

Tuned miles driven: 10 (first tuned at 13K miles) about 2,000 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1 Just re-flashed to the Ktuner OTS dual tune (19/23 with the same boost ramp parameters as before), + the same throttle settings, BUT wanted to try Turbo Responsiveness III. I know that power is a bit decreased from the TSP Stage 1 tune, but I feel like the car has plenty of power for my needs. I wanted more responsiveness, and now both the throttle and turbo responsiveness are at their highest. Looking forward to more seat time.

Fuel used: 91 octane, and higher-quality I can get

Additional related mods: Mishi intake, Greddy DDR exhaust since the original tune, added a Mishi full intercooler kit.

Problems/issues: still none so far! ?? Clutch seems to be holding fine, though that might be due to… ??

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time, and pretty much never flooring the throttle in lower RPMs (below 4K).
