I’ll have to figure it out. I have an idea just from messing around in the software. I’ll put up a video when I figure it out. I think I’ll be able to get it down within .05 seconds of actual

A couple points. Number one, all DI engines have some oil dilution, mostly minor. You will often get a gas smell in the oil without having an issue. Just make sure you drive your car long enough to get to normal operating temps. You'll be fine.

As far as the Phearable tune, remember that the Econ button still does it's thing. So if you are concerned about wear and tear, use Map 1 with the Econ button on. You'll still peak at 15 psi but you'll have a softer throttle.
Yes I know all di engines gave it but my cars oil went up on the dipstick about an inch over about 2300 miles. I’ll be keeping an eye on it since it has never happened before and I’m at 92000 miles now.

As for the Econ button I know. I figured it out pretty quick and normally have it on with the phearable tune

also unrelated just noticed but the car made a weird knocking noise for a split second when cold and reversing with the tires turned all the way. Can’t really replicate but it has happened twice in the past week. If anyone knows what that is?

None

Tuning experience notes: My experience has been fun and reliable, first car I ever put a tune on, car still runs strong and has been driven daily since tuned. No problems what so ever. I put a lot of miles on this car and probably highway is 85-90%. Very satisfied for @KTuner for their efforts to put smiles on our faces!

Hi there man, I had the same problem, went in to my dealer and they said it was my driver side axle. It means your CV joint/axle is out. You can get it replaced under warranty if you still have it, if not the axle costs about $150-200 and you can install it yourself to save some money. Hope this helps.

UPDATED POST
Vehicle: 2019 Honda Civic Sport Sedan 6MT (2.0L)

Total tuned time: 2 months

Total tuned mileage: 2000 (approximately)

Current mileage: 26,500 (approximately)

Tune used: KTuner Base map

Additional mods: AFE power takeda oiled short ram intake, Michelin A/S 3+, active exhaust before muffler (muffler delete)

Problems/Issues: Still slow :p A/C problems - fixed under warranty. Driver-side axle replaced after "knocking" and "clicking" sounds while turning fully at slow speeds - fixed under warranty (premature failure most like due to many hard launches and reverse donuts, 0 reverse donuts (for probably ever) and very few hard launches on new axle so far)

Fuel Used: 93 Octane since tune requires 91+ (Mostly Costco/Shell fuel), previous was mix between 87-93.

Driving style: Very aggressive and more spirited driving almost daily since day 1. WOT pulls from 1st and 2nd almost every drive after tune. Rarely WOT on highway bc slow, rarely go above 85. A few pulls in Mexico to 130. Rarely WOT in 3rd, 4th, 5th. Race digs and rolls occasionally. TX2K meant a few minutes of driving between 100-130 in Mexico. Half city, half highway miles, go very easy on highway commutes. Have done autocross style driving. When not on throttle, drive like your grandma (less than 2k rpm).

DISCLAIMER: Since day 1 I have been launching the car to redline, even before break-in period (Yes I know I am an idiot, I didn't know the break-in period was so important as this is my first manual car). I have done reverse donuts in this car, never held at redline. I have done tray donuts in this car, never held at redline. Stopped doing donuts because that's idiotic. I will update this as I go. I know I am hard on my car, I drive it like it's a racecar. I take full responsibility for anything that goes wrong. I have since learned to take care of the car, treat it properly, and do frequent inspections to make sure everything is okay.

Vehicle: 2017 Civic Si Coupe

Total tuned time: 5 months

Tuned miles driven: 5000 miles (8000 km)

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Ktuner 19/23, TSP Stage 1, currently TSP Stage 1+

Fuel used: Chevron 94 (Canada BC fuel)

Additional related mods: (FBO) Mishimoto Intake, Catch Can, Intercooler, RV6 catted dp/fp, Invidia r400 catback

Problems/issues: Stock clutch may slip tiny bit from time to time. Crank seal case leak and oil pan gasket replaced under warranty.

Driving style: Normal/Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time. Fair amount of highway driving/cruising as well.

Tuning experience notes: Was not a fan of the stock power band and rev hang, so I decided to tune with ktuner base map 19/23, than upgraded to TSP 1, and now currently TSP 1+. Power band feels better and car is quick and fun, especially with FBO with dp/fp and intercooler.

Vehicle: 2020 Honda Civic EX Hatch

Total tuned time: 16 days

Tuned miles driven: about 500 mi

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes Used: KTuner Stage 0-2, KTuner Starter Maps, Phearable 1.5t non SI

Fuel used: Sunoco 93 Ultra (Exclusively, haven’t had a high K.con reading yet when using both phearable and KTuner starter maps)

Additional related mods: no supporting mods yet, will update when PRL SRI installed

Problems/issues: Not a damn thing

Driving style: I’m usually a cruiser but I’m not gonna lie my driving style has changed a bit since the tune. Let’s just say I recognize the opportunity for lane switching and speed ups a bit more often

Tuning experience notes: The first day I installed KTuner I ran KTuner stage 0 since I had a few miles left on 87 octane. I didn’t feel nothing immediately it’s when I filled up on 93 oct and switched over to KTuner starter maps with increased throttle response early spool etc I developed a smile that’s still on my face every drive. I purchased my KTuner from phearable so I received a free tune with my purchase. After a week with KTuner starter maps I decided to run phearable 1.5t non si tune and I been using since (mainly because phearable gets rid of that nasty car vibration when idling) Everything seems normal no issues, car drives buttery smooth.

I will post a detailed comparison by the end of the day comparing Factory, KTuner and phearable tunes to my Build Blog.

UPDATE from post 909 added another 8000 miles problem free

Vehicle: 2018 Civic Sport Hatchback CVT

Total tuned time: 2 years

Total tuned mileage: 35000+ miles Current odometer mileage 60000.

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata CARB Flashpro

Tunes used: Hondata +6 Carb

Fuel used: Chevron / 76 / Costco 91 only

Additional engine mods: K&N Drop in Filter / Type r Exhaust

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time.

Tuning experience notes: Bought the cheapest and simplest set it and forget it tune from Hondata for daily commute. So far no issues. Done chip tuning before with my Volkswagen Golf and Passat. But will say never had issues with the tuning on those cars. But they were just electronically unreliable. Sensors going out/ windows falling in doors. Coil packs going bad. Not a vw fan anymore.

Thanks alot for the tuned mileage and trouble free update. That really helps. While we have a few people that regularly update, most are one and done, unfortunately.

These owner updates are what help the most in terms of showing tuning's long term reliability. Hopefully more people will add updates to keep this thread and it's reliability stats more accurate and up to date.
