Vehicle: 2018 Civic EX Hatchback

Total tuned time: 1 months

Total tuned mileage: 2,000

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner v1.2

Tunes used: TSP stage 1 map 1

Fuel used: 83

Additional engine mods: None

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time.

Tuning experience notes: Tune makes it a lot nicer needing to pass people. I don't have to worry about waiting for power to show up after I am half way through. TSP tune seems to be similar to stock, quicker response, more power, but I can drive low key without worry about the car taking off. Having the option to change the mapping on the fly is nice in case I want to have that extra boost. I will say I managed to get 46 mpg on the TSP tune map 3 on a 300 mile road trip.

*Update
Vehicle: 2019 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback

Total Vehicle Mileage: 6,300 Miles

Total Tuned Time: 11 months

Total Tuned mileage: ~5,000miles

Tuning device: hondata flashpro

Tunes used: tsp stage one, now basemap e85 tune, And power metrics flexfuel tune.

Fuel Used: shell 91 nitro power and Pump e85

Engine mods: Prl cobra CAI race maf, hondata, PRL Street downpipe, ACT street lite heavy duty clutch kit, borla exhaust, and Siri-Moto Flexfuel kit.

problems: front passenger side strut of my D2 coilovers blew a seal but was warrantied out and is getting replaced. Also a P0420 code because the K&N with a unscaled MAF adjustment for the basemap tune is causing me to run super rich.
*edit
K&N is out of the picture and car doesn’t run super rich anymore with the

Driving style: Daily driven, low mileage, with occasional spirited trips.

Tuning experience notes: everything is great so far, hoping to get a dyno tune soon!
*update 2*
Vehicle: 2019 Honda Civic sport hatchback 6MT

mileage: 7330 miles

total tuned time: 1 year +

total tuned mileage: ~6000 miles

tuning device: hondata flashpro

tunes used: tsp stage 1, powermetrics stage 2 non si, basemap hondata tunes.

current tune: mofab custom tuning

current power: 300hp and 290lbft torque on 91/ 330hp and 320lbft on e31

fuels used: 91 pump gas and e85 in a e30 blend.

engine mods: PRL race maf CAI, 27won inlet pipe, 27won W2 turbo, PRL street downpipe, borla exhaust, sirimoto Flexfuel kit, hondata flashpro, ACT heavy duty street clutch, mishimoto front mount intercooler.

problems: car is running perfect. No issues thus far. Strut is fixed and fuel trim is perfect.

driving style: grandpa daily driving with spirited pulls when I need to or when friends are in the car.

Tuning experience notes: dyno tuning costs quite a bit but with a tuner that’s experienced my car runs like it’s from the factory with that much power

Total tuned time: 12 months

Tuned miles driven: 9,0000+

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: KTuner Dual 22 mild quick adjustments; maf scaling

Fuel used: 100 RON (ELIN-AVIN)

Additional related mods: Mishimoto intake / Hondahack with tunerview lite

Oil used: MOTUL 5w30 x-clean EFE ACEA C2/C3 (oil and oil filter change every 3000-4000 miles)

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time.

Notes: Stock spark plugs/ gapping 0.65mm, Knock control increases from 0.49 to 0.77 after long pulls (only after 5.400rpm). Otherwise always 0.48/0.49.

Tuning experience notes: Happy to get into tuning; few things I know more to learn. Main reason of getting tuned is because of I see there is room for fine tuning and coming from N/A b18c driving feeling I needed car to be more fun to drive.

Check to see if your ECU has the new artificial knock control removal quick enable. That will eliminate the high rpm k.c. jump you're seeing.

A couple thread stat/info related items.

First off, I added some new tuning device stats. I'm now showing Hondata and KTuner devices by model. Here's the current usage stats:

Hondata used for tuning: 110; Race (95) Carb (15)
KTuner used for tuning: 435; V1.2 (248) V2 (187)

Also, if you've updated to either the Phearable 1.5 R tune or the TSP 1+, add a new post here reflecting that. I know John Vega and the TSP folks would appreciate that.

Cool looking car. Will you be having D-Rob tune again once you get the new downpipe?

As far as your tuning experience answer...
Thank you. Yes but I'm not too sure when I can; but definitely will have him tune again

Vehicle: 2018 Civic Type R

Total tuned time: 2-3 months

Tuned miles driven: <2000 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: KTuner (multi-stage) Stage 1

Fuel used: 93 (Usually Shell)

Additional related mods: K&N Air Filter

Problems/issues: Occasional gear grinds (most likely driver mod)

Driving style: Slightly speedy with occasional pulls and high speed turns from time to time.

Tuning experience notes: Originally had a '18 Civic Si tuned with TSP Stage 1. The tune for the Type R felt more substantial to me. Had nearly 35k miles tuned on the Si with rare clutch slip. No issues with the Type R thus far.
