Nice upgrade to a Type R. Congrats!

Always great to have an FK8 added to the survey. Thank you.

Vehicle: 2020 Civic Si Sedan

Total tuned time: ~2 months

Total tuned mileage: ~3200 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: KTuner Starter Dual Factory/23 psi and TSP Stage 1 (map 3)

Fuel used: 92 octane, WA is weird

Additional engine mods:
  • AFE Catted Downpipe
  • PRL SRI (I know I know, but I was just going for more sound before I was tuned and there are almost no traffic lights on my regular commutes. I would not run a true CAI on the street and wanted something safe to use with the stock tune)
  • Borla frontpipe-back exhaust (part # 140803)
Those are the mods that I've tried so far with the tune. I'm currently running just the Borla and stock everything else and prefer the responsiveness of this set up. My car seems like it runs best with the stock intake and stock DP, I felt like the mid range punch was negatively effected with those two installed (and with just the DP installed). I live in a rural area with lots of beautiful twisty 45 mph roads, I rarely redline my car when driving spiritedly but regularly come out of corners slightly above 3k rpm and then give it the beans to about 5k rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear. The stock DP and intake provide the best midrange punch in my experience, the AFE DP had more pull above 4k rpm but it also felt like it introduced some lag below that compared to stock.

Driving style: Mild mannered during the day, a freak at night when no traffic in around and visibility is good (no blind driveways/intersections/etc).

Problems/Issues:
None. I monitor and datalog and haven't had any issues with the mods I listed, the car ran great with no abnormal values to report.

Tuning experience notes: I generally only keep a car for a couple of years tops but have been known to sell something after only a few months. Being in my 30s, I've owned quite a few cars. Name a fun enthusiast car made in the last 10 years for under $40k and there's a 50/50 chance that I've owned and modified it. I've ran tunes and bolt-ons on many different platforms.

92? You're right, that is weird.

I'm just using the stock airbox with an aFE Pro Dry filter and a PRL silicone intake tube. I like this setup because I get a touch more throttle response over stock.

Yep, there's been a couple of times were I've gone to upload a canned tune and had to choose (was recommended by the tuner) the 91 octane file rather than the hotter 93 octane tune. Both TSP stage 1 and KTuner's basemaps run great on 92 with knock control stabilized at 0.49.

I have no idea why WA's premium fuel is 92 octane, I've traveled all over the country and haven't seen that elsewhere. :dunno:

Vehicle: 2020 Civic Si Coupe

Total tuned time: 2 weeks

Total tuned mileage: 500 Miles

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V2

Tunes used: Parables Stage 1.5, Ktuner Starter Tunes, TSP Stage 1 Tune.

Fuel used: 91 octane pump gas W/ STP Octane booster

Additional engine mods: K&N Performance Oiled Air Filter, Acuity Shift Cable Bushings (ACT Clutch and Borla Cat Back coming soon

Problems/issues: Nothing major, really nothing to report. Pherables tune only issues I have is that on 2020 model with LKAS and ACC you cannot use those features without GOD (girggles on demand) mode enabled IF you have the tune with GOD mode. TSP tune is also really awesome and MAP 3 RIPS so hard the stock clutch cant handle its full power.

Driving style: Mostly Hard and Heavy. Not unsafe or crazy but I like to get on the gas and go fast. I love to hear the engine sing at the higher end of the rev range so yea I do like pulling gears. I tend not to shift early trying to squeeze out more fuel economy. I'm not saying WOT every chance I get but I am not shy about getting on it and feeling the boost and if circumstances are right I may have possibly been know to drive between 100 and 130 MPH on the Highway from time to time.

Tuning experience notes: Started out with the starter tunes and those were okay but the money tunes (pherables and TSP) are where its at. You get a better than stock drive-ability with the added bonus of more acceleration, more torque, more boost and well Mo Powa Babeh!!

Driving style: Pedal down every chance I get.

Tuning experience notes: TSP Stage 1 was rock solid and reliable. Loved the mid-range punch but didn't like how the top end tapered off in power. Switched to Phearable Stage 1.5 a couple weeks ago and it is a phenomenal tune. More power with smoother delivery and the top end keeps pulling. Too early to tell how reliable the Phearable tune is.

Thanks for the survey. That Si Phearable tune seems to be universally praised as the best ots tune out there.

Yeah... I’m rapidly feeling less like “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” and more like “I might be missing out”.

Vehicle: 2017 Hatchback EX CVT

Total tuned time: 25 months

Total tuned mileage: 60,000

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata Flash Pro (Race)

Tunes used: Hondata +6, Powermetric Stage 1

Fuel used: 93

Additional engine mods: Injen SRI, Injen Intercooler + piping, frontpipe and catted downpipe

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: very angry

Tuning experience notes: No issues at all. I don't beat on my car but I am not easy on it either. The tuning has made the car very fun to drive. Going to add the Sirimoto Flex Fuel kit and the PRL CVT cooler and use the Powermetric stage 2 tune.
***Update***

Blew my motor at about 70100 due to Flex Fuel and not data logging to have e-tune adjusted. Totally my fault.
Switching to Ktuner this weekend and saying away from Flex Fuel.
