An urgent PSA to those adding updates here.

Please, please please. DON'T UPDATE BY EDITING AN OLD POST.

I mention this in the thread's first post but the message isn't getting through. It happened again today. I asked a member to add a "new update post" and instead he went in and edited his old post from 2021. I appreciated the effort but now I can't adjust the thread stats because I have nothing to compare to.

In other words here's how I manually tally the updates. Tuned miles driven for example. Joe Shmoe posts in 2020 that he had driven 1,500 tuned miles. He post a new update post in 2023 showing a total of 12,000 tuned miles driven. I can then compare the two posts and add the 10,500 new tuned miles driven to the thread stats.

If that same person instead edited and overwrote info in his old long ago post 100 pages back in the thread, I'll never be able to tally the stats up.

Please guys. NEVER edit an older post in the thread. Any post you make here, make a new one. It's important. Thanks.

Thanks man. That TSP 1+ packs a punch for an OTS tune.

Thanks for the update @Ghosted.

Have you tried a softer throttle padding setting to see if that smooths out the jerkiness?

I'm posting this for @Krissy_FC1. Many thanks (sent to me by DM).

That is one hot looking Si.

Vehicle: 2017 civic SI

Total tuned time: 2yrs

Tuned miles driven: 10,000+ so far

Tuning device(s) used: originally had ktuner now on hondata just recently.

Tunes used: new to the whole tuning scene but got a street tuned by tunedbywali.

Fuel used: only premium

Problems/issues: only problems I’ve encountered is Emissions issue so not positive is it from my tune or not. Still figuring it out.

Driving style: slightly speedy and aggressive from time to time with slight bursts on the freeway.

Tune experience notes: I originally used ktuner with base map and it was just fine. After that I had wali tuned my car for the first time with ktuner and I felt a little bit more of a difference in power. Now that I have more parts added and with hondata I do feel a huge difference in driving wise and power, but I’m still really new to the whole tuning scene.

Update: Car was sold with the all the mods on 7/11/2023.

Reason: Due to a health scare, impulsively bought a new car. Model Y performance
Saving more in fuel cost by about 75% less, but not as fun as the civic.

I want to thank you @gtman for all the hard work and contribution to the 10thgen community. Thank you to everyone in the forum.

Nothing really stood out as being a huge issue. I do think your fuel trims should to be dialed in a bit better. You're running a tad rich. Likely need some better MAF scaling. Knock control was steady at .55 but should ideally be .49 most of the time. What gas do you run? There was this odd moment at the end of your second log where you were commanding like 19 psi (shown in screenshot below) but didn't come close to hitting the target. I don't think it's a boost leak though. It looks like you floored it for just a split second and let off throttle immediately.

Screenshot 2023-06-18 122030.png
Sorry about that. For some reason, I missed the response.
I have was running 91 at that time but have since switched to 93. I have 2 full tanks of the 93 ran through and working on my 3rd. I also took off the BOV just to make sure I wasn't hurting anything.
Not really sure what happened on the last one. I think I went to do a pull and had to just let off and make a quick turn.
I definitely need some dial in work on the MAF. Not only that, but I'll have to find a tune guy a little closer. If you know someone I could send my calibration to and pay to have it adjusted, I would do that. Ultimately, I would like to get to the tuner in person.

Vehicle: 2019 Civic Hatchback sport (4th update)

Total tuned time: 4 years

Tuned miles driven: ~ 123,000km - 130,000km total

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: dual ktuner tune 16/21 psi

Fuel used: 91 plus half a bottle of amsoil octane booster every tank(Nova Scotia gas is terrible, been running it for about 9 months now without issues, may have found decent gas that'll let me drop it, need to test more after autox season)

Additional related mods: PRL stage 1 intake, hasport 62A RMM, shifter mods, ACT street clutch kit

Problems/issues: none since the clutch upgrade at 54,000km, ACT clutch still works like a champ and shows no signs of slippage. Changed spark plugs at 105,000km just because with the new reutenium plugs, works great, not sure I noticed any difference, might run a bit smoother. Front brake rotors and pads replaced with centric blanks and stoptech street pads. Rear brakes were done Apr 22 as the rotors were galling off. A/C condenser and a line had to be changed as well around 80,000 and 115,000(line was BO for 8 months). Otherwise I love the car, drives amazing and does decently well in winter too for a fwd. Ran 5 autox events that were fairly slow but I drove the car pretty hard, only got k control issues on the faster day when I was keeping revs between 4500-6000, it went up to 0.95 and stayed there. I've also used Berryman 2611 intake valve cleaner around 125,000km, seems to have cleared the intake valves quite a bit but I have no way of confirming. Engine used to ping at moderate load before, even on the 16psi tune, hasn't since.

Driving style: Daily driver, I pass people often but otherwise pretty conservative, summers are a bit more active obviously and I like to go for spirited drives. I started autox this year, but the mostly small tracks keep my speeds under 50mph most of the time.

Tune experience notes: very little, I played with boost by gear, throttle and turbo responsiveness, that's about it.

@Benster, have you tried the artificial knock control rise removal toggle?
