@gtman may want your feedback here
The only emission related issue I know of with the KTuner/Hondata traction control systems is that the timing retard they employ can eventually fry catalytic converters (if it kicks in too often).

I would think that transmission failure and the emission error may not have been related. What did the dealer say?

A few thoughts.

1. WOT 95% of the time? On the street?

2. As far as the high K. Control, the fact it dropped quickly is good.

3. WOT in overdrive gears is generally a bad idea.

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Slightly aggressive city driving with easy highway cruising, occasional spirited backroad romping and highway pulls
UPDATE: problems now! Nothing crazy but about 800 miles after posting this I am currently getting an intermittent U0155 and associated codes. Dashboard gauges disconnecting with sensors it seems after some digging around. Only happens with KTUNER v2 plugged in and read somewhere that a similar code popped up with a bad OBD2 wire for the v2. Ill swap it out and update if it fixes. Vehicle operates fine and I can still see revs and speedometer

From your observations with logs, does the mishimoto intake throw off the fuel trims on the completely factory tune?
No they do a good job staying within range when not flashed. I was within 2-3 percent during the brief time when I was still using the stock flash with the mishimoto intake only. Once flashed it was 7- ish percent negative most of the time until adjusted. Then 1-2% at most +/- on my calibration.

Just a reminder to all CivicX members who are tuned (or previously were) to post up your tuning surveys. Thanks to those who have already done so.
--------------------

CURRENT SURVEY STATS

Total surveys taken: 158
Total tuned miles driven: 2,375,000 (approx.)
Tuned cars with major failures: 5
Percentage of tuned cars running reliably: 96.8%
Transmission type: CVT (51); Manual (107)

Custom tuned cars: 33
Hondata used for tuning: 41
KTuner used for tuning: 128
JB4 used for tuning: 1
-------------------

Added a new survey stat for transmission type. Not surprisingly, manual outnumbers CVT by more than 2-1. KTuner has an over 3-1 lead on Hondata. And finally, less than 20% of owners have been custom tuned.

Vehicle: 2019 CR-V AWD (EUDM) L15BY MT(manual) / Si pistons - non Si connecting rods

ECU: 5ST-G05

Gas: 98 RON E5 (Shell only) - rarely 100 RON (Shell only)

LTFT: -3.0 up to 5.0 rarely

Total tuned time: 1 month

Total tuned mileage: 1.000 miles

Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V1.2

Tunes used: Ktuner base 21 DUAL (no quick enables/quick adjustments)

Additional engine mods: PRL SRI street MAF, smaller sized mufflers/OEM pipe diameter / Intake resonator delete / Hondahack with tunerview lite

Oil used: Mobil 1 5W-30 ACEA C2/C3 (oil and oil filter change every 3000-4000 miles)

Problems/issues: OEM HU randomly changes brightness. Not Ktuner or Honda hack related. Has occurred 4-5 times in 12 months.

Driving style: Very speedy with often aggressive bursts, start driving after 1 minute, never WOT if ECT is below 80 or over 85. Rarely using ECON after reflash. Car is too exciting to drive on 21 PSI!

Notes: Knock counts recorded 1 to 5, with stock spark plugs/OEM gapping, Knock control increases from 0.49 to 0.77 after long pulls (50mph to 140mph). Always 0.48/0.49 even at 60% or above TPS

Tsp Stg1. Shift at 2k mostly. 80% highway, just under 100 mile daily commute round trip. I use boost to merge with traffic and to occasionally run up to the speed limit when conditions permit.

Over 32k miles, stock tires, brakes, clutch. PRL Stg1 intake and AFE drop in filter. Costco 93 fuel.

For some reason my car is not saving the history. Are you doing anything specific to save it?

Total tuned time: 15 months

Total tuned mileage: 13,000+ miles

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata flashpro, currently using KTuner v1.2

Tunes used: Custom tune on Hondata, Hondata +9psi, KTuner dual 19.5 and 23 psi map

Fuel used: Sunoco 93, Exxon 93, Shell 93, 93 at PX shop exchange gas station

Additional engine mods:
Prl Cobra CAI, was previously on K&N performance intake system, Prl intercooler and charge pipes, catless downpipe, frontpipe, takeda 3-2 1/2in exhaust, fx400 with single mass lightweight flywheel (Will soon be installing Prl big turbo gtx2860, will report back after a few weeks with it on)

Problems/issues: On hondata +9 psi, engine went into limp mode about 3 times within 2 week period. Seemed to happen when I suddenly let off the throttle after WOT between 4k-5k rpms. Turning the engine off and then back on fixed the issue. Havent had this issue crop up again since then.

Driving style: occasionally relaxed, mainly spirited, very aggressive on curvy roads, pulls from 20-60 at least twice a day

Tuning experience notes: none

Somewhere buried in the menus is a setting to reset trip on fuel fill up.

Total tuned time: 1 month

Total tuned mileage: 4,657 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner v1.2

Tunes used: Ktuner's: Stage 1, and Starter 21 (conservative)

Fuel used: Conoco 93

Additional engine mods: None

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Typically conservative, just driving to work. But lately having fun seeing how fast it can accelerate to pass cars or to get onto the highway. I'm never going full throttle from stop. Looking to have performance, decent mileage, and have the car last me 10 years.

Tuning experience notes:
This is my first time tuning. gtman and others on the forums have given me confidence to give it a try. My previous cars were an accord (no turbo), and CRV (no turbo). This is my first car with a turbo engine. At stock, I thought it was already a fun car. I would sometimes put the car into the "S" gear, or use the paddle shifter to get more acceleration when passing.

Then I came across this world of tuning. I thought that it was for those that ONLY want to mod and race cars, but I feel like there's other folks on this forum like me - just looking to get more performance out of what they have. Giving tuning a try and WOW - it makes it that much more fun. I feel like a lot of folks here are using "TSP Stage 1" tune which I'm sure is great, but honestly I thought even starting with Ktuner Stage 1 made so much of a difference. Now I am trying Starter 21 with various configurations, but usually driving on a conservative but improved, non aggressive configuration.

I'm starting to learn the technical aspects of everything, but can share at least what I experience now. The biggest differences I "experience" is that when you hit the throttle, the car just goes, and it goes fast. Before tuning, at stock, it would sort of like take a second before the acceleration kicked in. I've also noticed a drop in miles per gallon, likely because I've been having more fun than usual and it is getting colder (winter). I usually got 36 to 40mpg on stock, and now I am seeing around 32 to 36pmg.

When winter passes and it gets warmer, I will try a little bit more aggressive configurations on Starter 21. The only physical change I'll likely make to the car is get better tires when the stock ones wear out. I already 'slip' a little bit when accelerating from stop, even on stock.

7/15/20 update: updated mileage. returned to factory and unlocked tuner for oil change. going to try similar tune but without turbo spool
