Clutch: Stock and never slipped

Problems/issues: none until very recently. Emissions issue coding for cylinder imbalances. Also gauge cluster going black and coming back on "piece by piece". Returning car to stock except the intake has made huge difference with gauge cluster (went from off and on 4 times a drive cycle of 30 minutes- to - has only happened twice in the past 2 weeks.... almost like it's recovering from something....).

It unfortunately hasn't helped the emissions code. Either my injectors are in early stages of failure, it needs plugs, cat is partially melted, 02 sensor damaged, or a combination of all the above. Haven't had it looked at yet.

Making the personal choice to never use a flash device on these cars again.

Hoping to get it fixed and trade for a '20 si coupe and planning to leave as stock as possible. Maybe an R.

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive bursts from time to time.
From your observations with logs, does the mishimoto intake throw off the fuel trims on the completely factory tune?

Problems/issues: Blown transmission after pushing too hard on 3.4.4 firmware from Hondata. Tune consisted of base +6, Increased throttle, turbo spooling, and traction control mods. When I first uploaded this tune, i had a “Emissions System Problem”. Thought it might go away after a few days but was still there after a week. One night after some spirited driving, I parked my car and suddenly the transmission was having severe issues connecting power from the engine, car was basically in limp mode. Was not able to get the car to move at all the next day. Luckily, my Honda dealer hooked me up and honored my warranty and replaced the transmission with no charge. Now currently running the previous +6 tune now with no traction control mods since I think this new tune w/ traction control (after the 3.4.4 firmware) is causing the Emissions Systems Problem code.

Driving style: Iron Foot, but now more conservative after the blown tranny issue.

Tuning experience notes: Only used base tunes and mods that Hondata offered through the UI.

The only emission related issue I know of with the KTuner/Hondata traction control systems is that the timing retard they employ can eventually fry catalytic converters (if it kicks in too often).

I would think that transmission failure and the emission error may not have been related. What did the dealer say?

A few thoughts.

1. WOT 95% of the time? On the street?

2. As far as the high K. Control, the fact it dropped quickly is good.

3. WOT in overdrive gears is generally a bad idea.

Additional engine mods: RV6 catted downpipe (Ceramic), RV6 front pipe (Ceramic), Greddy Supreme SP catback, Mishimoto SRI, PTP turbo blanket

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Slightly aggressive city driving with easy highway cruising, occasional spirited backroad romping and highway pulls
UPDATE: problems now! Nothing crazy but about 800 miles after posting this I am currently getting an intermittent U0155 and associated codes. Dashboard gauges disconnecting with sensors it seems after some digging around. Only happens with KTUNER v2 plugged in and read somewhere that a similar code popped up with a bad OBD2 wire for the v2. Ill swap it out and update if it fixes. Vehicle operates fine and I can still see revs and speedometer

No they do a good job staying within range when not flashed. I was within 2-3 percent during the brief time when I was still using the stock flash with the mishimoto intake only. Once flashed it was 7- ish percent negative most of the time until adjusted. Then 1-2% at most +/- on my calibration.

Added a new survey stat for transmission type. Not surprisingly, manual outnumbers CVT by more than 2-1. KTuner has an over 3-1 lead on Hondata. And finally, less than 20% of owners have been custom tuned.

Oil used: Mobil 1 5W-30 ACEA C2/C3 (oil and oil filter change every 3000-4000 miles)

Problems/issues: OEM HU randomly changes brightness. Not Ktuner or Honda hack related. Has occurred 4-5 times in 12 months.

Driving style: Very speedy with often aggressive bursts, start driving after 1 minute, never WOT if ECT is below 80 or over 85. Rarely using ECON after reflash. Car is too exciting to drive on 21 PSI!

Notes: Knock counts recorded 1 to 5, with stock spark plugs/OEM gapping, Knock control increases from 0.49 to 0.77 after long pulls (50mph to 140mph). Always 0.48/0.49 even at 60% or above TPS

Tsp Stg1. Shift at 2k mostly. 80% highway, just under 100 mile daily commute round trip. I use boost to merge with traffic and to occasionally run up to the speed limit when conditions permit.

Over 32k miles, stock tires, brakes, clutch. PRL Stg1 intake and AFE drop in filter. Costco 93 fuel.

Fuel used: Sunoco 93, Exxon 93, Shell 93, 93 at PX shop exchange gas station

Additional engine mods:
Prl Cobra CAI, was previously on K&N performance intake system, Prl intercooler and charge pipes, catless downpipe, frontpipe, takeda 3-2 1/2in exhaust, fx400 with single mass lightweight flywheel (Will soon be installing Prl big turbo gtx2860, will report back after a few weeks with it on)

Problems/issues: On hondata +9 psi, engine went into limp mode about 3 times within 2 week period. Seemed to happen when I suddenly let off the throttle after WOT between 4k-5k rpms. Turning the engine off and then back on fixed the issue. Havent had this issue crop up again since then.

Driving style: occasionally relaxed, mainly spirited, very aggressive on curvy roads, pulls from 20-60 at least twice a day

Somewhere buried in the menus is a setting to reset trip on fuel fill up.
