Actually, historic data on the U.S. Energy Information Administration website reveals that the "premium" for premium gasoline is dynamic rather than static and has increased dramatically in recent years.
In November 1994 (earliest data point), premium was 17.6% or 19 cents per gallon higher than regular.
In November 2004, premium was 11.5% or 20 cents per gallon higher than regular.
In June 2008 (highest historic gasoline prices), premium was 5.7% or 23 cents per gallon higher than regular.
In November 2014, premium was 14% or 39 cents per gallon higher than regular.
Currently, premium in my area is 21% or 55 cents per gallon higher than regular.
Great info. Thanks for sharing .The "premium" for premium has been increasing for years...
This is where I hope my Flex Fuel Kit from @Two Step Performance will pay off...Come to California for affordable gas starting at $3.79 xD I hate the traffic and the cost of living here
You will be way ahead and have a lot more fun along the way. This is where I hope my Flex Fuel Kit from @Two Step Performance will pay off...
Others have stated that E85 is actually more expensive because it consumes more gas...
In San Diego, by my house...
91 Octane: $4.09
E85: $2.99
I think it's worth Flex Fuel at that rate... plus the added bonus of more hp .
Can you run full E85 in the Si?You will be way ahead and have a lot more fun along the way.
With proper mods and tune you can not sure if there will be any downsides later on, I remember on (i think) 8th gens it would mess up your fuel gauge after extended use.Can you run full E85 in the Si?
