We weren’t going time attack mode either that day. Literally just hot lap after hot lap and the car was consistent all day. The auxiliary radiator you guys works because it’s getting fresh air right at the nose of the car. If I keep the fk8 long term I plan to add the auxiliary rad near the passenger side fog light. I also need to further reduce radiating heat from hot parts with thermal shielding. I’m also looking into potentially doing a custom fan and shroud setup
Thats actually exactly how Jason got the idea. When I still had my white 2017 I had the obvious oil cooler on the driver side, upgraded radiator and then bought a small motorcycle radiator I was test fitting on the passenger side. Jason took that idea and ran with it, see if I can find a photo or two...

Found them! Man back from 2018 lol! I was working on a custom way to integrate the flow back in to the radiator hoses but think the spot Mishimoto uses for their secondary radiator works better

My other thought was to remove the windshield washer fluid container for a smaller one, then you can use a bigger unit there

Did this idea ever pan out? I think it's a great spot. What were the dimensions?

Seems like a good place for it and I’d probably delete the washer since I never use it / deleted the nozzle anyways lol

I never finished it. I was looking at an aftermarket washer fluid container to get an even bigger one in there. Then just never really finished it :(

Not available anymore :( just a motorcycle radiator I bet there is a lot to use that will work

‎20 x 7.5 x 7 inches

It’s a lot smaller. I think those might be the box dimensions looking at it now

I managed to fit a second oil cooler (Mishi) in front of the passenger side fog light area so Im sure you could probably get a small secondary radiator in there if its sized right. It was tight though with the water bottle and the room for lines is tight as well.

Yea my buddy actually did the same thing. He is running dual mishimoto oil coolers like that. Working well for him so far

I wonder if 1 of those in the fog light area would have any meaningful impact. My neighbor has a Golf R, and it has two auxiliary radiators in the fender area that are small and hes replacing his with mishimoto ones. Ive asked him to save the OEM ones for me in case I might be able to mock something up.

Did you switch to PWR? IF so, how has the season been going so far?
Season has gone far better than expectations! I did switch to PWR and the car has been INSANELY quick, 5 gridlife events 4 FWD lap records 2 podiums.... I think the combination of the new rad + the secondary radiator did the trick.
