I recently threw these on with the aero caps to save on gas and here's what they look like for anybody who's curious:

I would love to see a hypermile run to see how high you could get it.

Just got these powder coated, excited to throw them on. Thanks for the tips in this thread!

Those look fantastic!!! I'm happy to have helped make our cars look better, with wheels that remained hidden behind funny looking plastic hubcaps for so long!??
I will surely miss mine, freshly powder coated mind you, but getting a chance to own a Type R is something I just couldn't pass up.??? These will of course, be up for sale immediately.

Yes, those are what you need if you are going to use the 'starfish' looking covers. But any wide base (23-25mm) aftermarket conical base lugs will work. I have two sets for sale, Rays Dura-Lugs (black) and J2 Engineering (silver) both forged aluminum, that will work if you are wanting a closed end "finished" look. The Rays are used, J2's are 'BNIB'.
PM me if interested.

Not a proper hypermile run I supposed but I did manage 48.3mpg on the 27 mile commute to work today. This is from South Side Chicago to the suburbs, going SW with 6mph wind from N. As you know, Chicagoland area is flat as can be so no tricks with elevation changes. Route includes a mile or so of bumper to bumper traffic as well. Also yes, I know I need to clean the dust off of my center console screen haha.

I also did go on a road trip recently across the US ~7500 miles and kept track of my consumption. We started and ended in Indianapolis and the trip included visits to places like Salt Lake City, Yosemite, SF/LA, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Houston/NOLA. Most of the highway driving (and there was a lot of highway driving) was done at 85+ mph while the car was loaded with 2 passengers, a cooler with ice/food, and all the clothes/personal care/camera gear/travel items needed for a 2.5 week road trip like this. I averaged 36.5mpg over the entire trip, with my best tank at 43.2 mpg over 400.7mi (somewhere on the stint from Denver to Salt Lake City), while the worst tanks were tied at 33.0 mpg (306.2mi somewhere near Houston/NOLA and 346.8 mi for the final stint to get back to the starting point).

Can it clear a BBK?
It will depend on the brake kit. Teslas come with factory Brembos so their wheels tend to have decent clearance but not all kits stick out the same amount. Factory retrofit calipers like the Genesis Brembos tend to have much worse clearance than aftermarket kits like ours and others.

Yeah I was actually looking at your kit believe it not. Was hoping it would go on sale for Black Friday but it didn’t. Would your brakes clear the Tesla wheels?

Our brake kit is part of our sale! Not sure where you heard otherwise but it applies to ALL of our products! Our sale ends at midnight Monday.

I am not entirely sure if they would clear our kit but if you have the wheels you can check them with the fitment template on our site found here: LINK
