Nice unit. But where do the climate control dials and buttons go? No satellite radio and side camera would suck.
The climate controls actually get deleted. It turns everything in to touch screen with the new headunit. All you have to do is tuck the passenger airbag light under the radio itself.

I think this one would be safer to try since it doesn't replace what physical climate controls we have already. I wonder if we would still have our satellite radio, Garmin navigation, backup camera and lanewatch...
I am leaning more towards this one the more i look at it myself..

Looks cool, but I know with EX+ trims the headunit controls a bunch of setting of the car such as the walk away lock, trip meters, and editing the instrument panel. I don't think the aftermarket headunit would be worth it if it can't.
From what i understand it all works 100% fine. its basically a plug and play for this headunit. no splicing or soldering. its just stock connectors into the harness.

This is very interesting. I certainly would not be the one to try it but I look forward to seeing the results of someone else's trial. :)
I am willing to be a scape goat at this point. my problem is do i really wanna spend 600 bucks on a headunit or performance parts.. LOL

If you don't have Ktuner yet I think you'd get more bang for your buck out of that.

I do, I have the V2 unit. They both tune the car the same way but the V2 has a touchscreen display which makes it more desirable for most people. Because of this it can be hard to get a hold of one. I bought mine through @VitViper. www.vittuned.com

The Type-R radio has a fiber optic cable connected to the factory amp. Does this accommodate that...or at worst, allow normal RCA connections to aftermarket amps?
thia has normal rca cable hook ups. Like an aftermarket headunit would have.
