For anyone who has had the update applied, did your firmware version change?
I had the update applied tues but my firmware still reads oct 2015 so I'm suspicious they didn't actually apply it.

EDIT: Sorry guys. I just re-read the first post. This only gives you the head unit SW version. NOT THE AMPLIFIER SW VERSION.

From the home screen, Swipe down from the top of screen -> Settings -> About

The one you should be interested in is the "Build number"

Unless you are talking about the Touring amplifier software. AFAIK, only Honda can determine the amplifier software revision.

Nope, when I swipe down from home screen on my Touring it says "Searching for GPS" and "Phone's battery power level" nothing else.

Mine is Build number 1.F186.69 what does that mean? (My radio was replaced 1 month ago)
I did not see any "firmware" info.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but i just purchased a new, 2016 Touring. I asked the dealer about updating the infotainment unit and anything else to latest versions, he didnt seem to know what I was talking about.

What would be the best way to make sure i dont need any updates, and if I do, where can i ask to get them done?

Thanks!

Welcome to Honda ownership. From multiple sources and data points, I conclude that Honda tells their dealers to deny existence of "updates". If you can't go in with the specific symptom covered and documented as fixed by a specific service bulletin, and be able to readily re-create the issue, then a fix doesn't exist ("what problem? what fix? what update? haven't heard of it, and you couldn't get it if I had") and you can't have it. Even if you do have a fixed, documented, repeatable problem, you can't always get the dealer to play ball. It's just the way Honda rolls. I had a 2009 BMW--whenever it went in, they'd plug it in, let it talk to Munich, and push whatever updates it didn't already have. Honda may get there some day. They aren't there now.

Note the '18 Honda Oddity makes a point of "automatic infotainment updates" as a feature. Baby steps, Honda, baby steps.
