What do people do to protect it?
I have seen some tall-ass mudflaps on the internetz. I get it, but at the same time, it totally ruins aero (fuel economy) so I'd rather just PPF the at-risk areas on the fenders and doors and call it a day.

Apparently, if you can keep the EFR turbo from surging, it will spool up 600 rpm sooner... WHAT!!

yeah i drove it last night in 55 degree weather.. i saw the data log and was pleasantly surprised to see 25PSI at sub 3500 rpm.. I turned it down because i have no idea how much torque that's making.

So i've had a few little projects i've completed!

I have always wanted to test some heat range 9 plugs, just to see if the noise was lower on the knock sensor. The plugs were NGK LKAR9BI9 .. These plugs do not have terminals from the factory so you can use them in our car with a terminal you steal from pretty much any jet ski 2 stroke plug. They fit and do work, i did not notice any significant noise reduction, though i did not really think i would have. just wanted to see.

I also got a set of id1700xs. I always saw cylinder 3 was the first to knock, i suspected either fuel rail pressure but cyl 1 is fine. I replaced the injectors and the sensor was nice and quiet on that cylinder now. The injector duty cycle was 67-70% on high boost.. it is now only 17%. The injectors i took out were oem ls3 injectors so they were about to small to begin with.

Well I picked up my winter project! A radium surge tank with a regulator. I picked this up because I was still seeing 10 psi drop on higher ethanol levels. I suspect the fuel pump is flowing somewhere around 500hp worth of e70 and it can't keep up. I ordered the high pressure e85 pump and I'm going to turn the pressure up higher to see if pump duty cycle goes down.

Very nice Taylor. The Radium surge tank is something I am also considering down the road, as the car can get fuel starved and enter limp mode at the track.

Here is how one person installed it along with a smaller battery. Having it inside the engine bay seems a much safer option than in the hatch as I’ve also seen.

Btw, did you get a chance to have Ben look at and resolve the engine deceleration tick?

Yeah I actually talk to ty(the guys car in the pic) pretty often..he's shared install tips and I'll be pretty much copying that setup.. many thanks to him!

I haven't seen him since the dyno time, he's mentioned it before but I'm building an addition and on vacation right now.. once I get back messing with it I'll be sure to give him a ring. I've tried a few things but don't seem to remove it ??‍♂

I had some free time after, what seems like for ever, working on the house (albeit for the wife). I ordred a few things while i was out of town and really couldnt wait to get back and open them. I got my hands on a radium surge tank with a walbro 450, e85 version. Going to get my fuel pressure to stay up and maybe do some high pressure pump testing with higher pressure, like 85 psi. It works on BMW, why wouldnt it work here. Just set it in there, have to work on a mounting solution. May hire outside help with this one.

has plenty of room sitting on the battery tray.

I installed the @ACUITY shifter bushings too, pretty easy, didn't have to remove the battery tray like they recommended. Used a little silicone spray on everything and slid right in.

Ive also been curious if the throttle body coolant was the cause of the rising inlet temps to roughly 15-20 above ambient. Will it help? Im not sure but wouldnt know if i didnt try. Its not the easiest thing to do, make sure you have the hose crimps to keep any coolant from excaping.

I also removed the hoses that run over the motor, it will look nice once i get rid of the factory hard pipes.

I had bought those used 1700x, but im not big into buying used parts so i sold them to a buddy and bought a set of new 1050xds. Its one of those things with me.

also i got the fuel pressure sensor on a whip. I made it, ptfe hose, 3 an , alcohol safe.
It was hard mounted on the rail temporarily , which is a big no no.

Starting to build my g30-770 kit, I copied the stock gasket (which ive learned is way bigger than the cylinder head port) But it will still work ok. I got the design water jet then i took it to my buddies shop to get the tapers machined in.

Ill be using the full race kit as much as i can, using the down pipe and intake pieces. I made the plate incase the Full Race headi-fold is too long and the turbo may hit the rad fans. If it doesn't then oh well, I only have a few bucks in making them.

The wastegate is a Turbosmart Electric 45mm gate which will have to be welded on the turbine housing once i get it mocked up on the car. (not here yet)

Ill be using the stock down pipe but having my local fab shop modifiy it to fit. Inlet will just need a coupler I bought all new flanges and v bands to use to help make this as easy as possible.

Removed my Whiteline 22mm for their 26mm Kit- Video

The Hefty Boi! Looking forward to hearing your feedback on this kit; we have it on our Si and Type R, the rear end is quite lively on both!

The Si now has the 27mm Whiteline Front Sway Bar to neutralize the balance, the CTR still has the OEM Front Sway Bar but will soon get the 27mm Bar as well.

It definitely tightens up the rear on the street much more noticible than the 22mm(or 23?). I learned to drive trail braking, super stiff rear spring rates back when i had me em1 track prepped. I know the fk8 is much more refined in stock form and may be un necessary on the track but it seems to do well so far

Are the acuity shifter bushings a noticeable improvement/ change?
