I wrapped the down pipe today, it was my first time in a very long time (10+ years) since ive touched stuff like this.. I could nit pick it more but i dont think the outcome is going to be any different. I initially said i was going to coat these but the 1 month lead time was simply too long. I think once i do my motor build ill get them coated at the same time since the car will be down anyways.

Well she's running! I replaced both coolant hoses and also put the heat wrap around them. The vibrant silicone heater hoses are ??.. IDK what full race was thinking using the hose they supplied.

Bloody hell man!! What are you thinking/hoping for on the dyno? Also what do you think peak wtq will be and what are you going to run the redline at? 4piston did a whole review of the motor and said they experienced valve float at 7300rpm. How far are you going to push the stock motor?

I'm not going to chase numbers, gona make what it's going to make Safely.. I rev it to 7400 no problems.. I think they try to scare people by saying the motors are weak. Others making more power and no issues. Just cant spool it too fast.. but won't have a problem on this turbo.. 23 psi at 3850 rpm.

well i started to play with the port injection contribution percentages, i started at zero to see how bad the stock pump fails. Quite comical, though it still does get richer. Around 3950rpm the car is making 21 psi.. Its using 83% duty and you can see the " Pressure Direct bank 1 control" start to take flight shortly after reaching target boost pressure of 21 psi as well as the pressure starting to roll down hill as fast as the control is going up.

It reaches 100% duty at 4225 rpm, but does keep going up, the arbitrary % is just the pid trying to keep up

I wanted to see how much 5% would help, so i added it to the port injection table. This function works by calculating the volume of fuel needed for the engine, then will split it between the direct injectors and port injection- quite simple. As we can see, a 5% port injection total only let it run another ~160 rpm before the pump started to tap out.

I stopped playing with it and put the 30% port injection back in it.

I had asked my local fab shop if he had time to get them welded and he said to just swing by and he will knock them out.. Well i think he hit it out of the park.

Yeah it was an exciting day for sure. Started out thinking it was going to be using 116 but the fuel guy only had 104 and a bunch of e85r. Was worried I was going to run out of fuel pump on pretty much anything over 500whp using ethanol. So I had to swing it with ethanol. Made 451on pump gas 93 octane (sensor was reading 8% ethanol). Pumped out the few gallons I had in there and threw one of the jugs of Sunoco 85R in the tank. It actually held up ok until about 6000 rpm then started dropping pressure on the high power pull. Still enough pressure for the motec to adjust and keep the proper fueling.(albeit higher duty cycles) I was stoked to make 520 let alone 573 ?. I wish I had valve springs, it would actually make more. Ben was thinking closer to 600 and wanted to turn the rpm limiter higher but I said no not today ?. I'm thinking a dw300c intank is next!

Dyno videos are very anticlimactic but here is it!
