A buddy of mine is coming into town and we're going to the Tail of Dragon (about 220 miles each way). The original intent was to go in my ND Miata but its not an awesome car for the other 7+ hours we're not actually tearing it up. But, the stock all seasons on the Si blow.

Miata: Top down, tearing it up on the Dragon but cooped up an animal for the other 7+ hours
Si: Torque, 7+ hours in comfort, tires that belong on a forklift

Without saying "buy better tires for the Si" what would you do?

It's a compromise either way, but I think the Si would be the way to go.

Any answer other than the Miata is crazy.
