Swapping out AC controls

Hello everyone!

I just joined and was curious if anyone has tried swapping in the 2019 AC controls into a 2016 model? I attached pictures of each of that’ll help. It looks like they’re the same on the back so I wonder if it’s feasible. First set of pictures is 2016 one and the second set is 2019.

Not sure if it is still relevant anymore, but yeah I tried that but the Climate control software in the radio unit did not recognize the new fan speed buttons after I swapped them. I don't know if theres a way to updated it or if I will have to swap out my head unit with a newer one, but that is much more expensive.
