I was wondering if it’s at all possible to swap the heated Si seats into the USDM LX.
My stock seats are already pretty screwed up. The drivers side squeaks near the belt buckle bracket for some reason and they are stained from the prev. owner.
From what I’ve gathered from other threads I’d at least need a climate control panel from a model with the button for heated seats.
However I don’t know if the control panel is plug and play with my car, or if it does hook up, if the seats can communicate with the panel through the CANBUS.
I’d also of course like the airbags to work. I currently have an airbag light because the previous owner hit a curb, and I also disconnected the climate panel while the battery was on when I was installing my head unit, which could have caused another error.
If anyone has done a swap like this before any advice would be appreciated.
Alternatively some sort of aftermarket pad that sits under the seat cover would work fine too, I’d just prefer to go OEM as I plan to keep this car for a good while as my daily.
