out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried to like take the part number and the part from a 2019 and some how...wire it up so the buttons work using the wiring from the know to change the fan and then some how keep the dual climate?

I'm curious to look into that if the parts are pretty cheap.

I have a 2018 Type R and the not having fan bugs me SO much but I also hate the idea of functionality loss even if I never use it. that bugs me also.

I couldn’t find this anywhere, but sorry if it’s been asked before, has anybody tried to do the opposite? Change from the standard climate to the dual climate? Or is this not possible since it’s an upgrade and not a downgrade

Finally pulled the trigger and got the jdm style climate control unit. I hated having to push that stupid climate button to load the screen on the head unit. This is so much better i love having the actual screen instead. I did need to take the passenger airbag sensor off my old unit and put it on new one .

Any one know the part number for the climate control in this picture?
