this thread will be about both of my current civics.

my 2019 civic si coupe named Yūrei and my new to me 1998 civic coupe hx named sumi!

i havent owned many cars or really modded cars (just like my garage says im from the offroad world) so this is new to me. so this thread will show my progress with both cars and what i do with both of them! my si is my reliable daily while the Hx will be my weekend autocross and eventually track toy project!

so here is my brand new 2019 civic si coupe! named yurei the si
(and yurei as in ghost in Japanese not a dudes name....)

this is sumi! she is basically all stock but ive got plans for her to be a fun track toy but it will be a rather slow build because you know owning a house and 4 projects takes a lot of money lol

current miles:175k tbh idk the cluster dont work besides rpm fuel and temp lmao

two rust spots- one hole near the dead pedal and the inner fender on the driver side

thanks man! it should be a fun time i just ordered a shit ton of basic maintenace stuff from belts hoses plugs wires and lots of odds and ends plus brakes so soon she will be as good as new ish lol

Sumi update


Cleaning and polishing! This was all done on Saturday and Sunday it’s taken a bit of work but she is looking better

and these two are after finishing the polishing work i plan to hit them again a little bit to try and shine them up again

ignore the broken hood release cable and the dented hood lol

this is after a little polish to the headlights they were in pretty bad shape when i got the car.

the wheels were also rather ugly they were covered in brake dust and you couldnt really tell they were silver so i started washing and polishing they look way nicer now

bruh im like 5'7" haha that interior needed a pretty deep clean so i took the seats out to carpet clean and man i should have taken a before pic because its night and day different now!

haha i would have gotten hood pins but this is way cheaper lol

eventually it will have hood pins but for now im trying to get it street legal so just fixing the everything lol

the one big thing that sucks about the hx is the car is tuned with fuel economy in mind more then a standard civic so its headers exhaust and ecu are really restrictive so in theory if you swap those 3 things or swap the 2 and get a custom tune it should bump the car up on hp maybe
