Just out of curiosity if anyone has tried using an universal strut bar instead of the Sirimoto one?
Pics and links for products would be much appreciated!

I'm not sure how a "universal" strut bar would work out. I guess you could DIY a homemade bar if you had the skills.

I had an Ultra Racing bar on my last car. It's a good product but I'm not sure it's worth twice the price of the Sirimoto bar. The Sirimoto is $109 shipped. The UR bar is more like $220 shipped.

I hear this a lot but they do make a difference. No they don't do squat to improve body roll. That's the job of a beefier rear sway bar. But, every bar I've added to every FWD car I've owned has made a difference. It makes the front end feel more stable and is especially helpful on quick emergency lane changes. Hell, on some cars I've added them to they’ve reduced dash rattles over bumps believe it or not. And of course they add some bling. Is it the ultimate suspension mod? Of course not. But it's not as useless as so many people think. It’s not an in your face mod but it does improve your car.

I just like them because they look cool, that is assuming its a fashionably designed piece from say carbing or whatever is popular these days. I have the carbing bar on my nissan and love it. To me, it is just an aesthetic adornment. Never have felt any real difference in how the car behaves.

If it looks like some e-bay special then not interested. The only bar that kinda interests me is the one piece ultimate racing or whatever its called. I would just spray paint it flat black and call it a day. Still I would rather just wait another year to see if something cool looking becomew avail
