So, today I decided to finally wire in the turn signal leads on my switchback side markers and created a whole new issue, maybe. These switchbacks are eBay specials, knock-offs but look decent.
I have been running the LasFit LED bulbs in my front and rear turns for several months now with no issues. I wired in the switchbacks and got the HyperFlash after completing the second (right) side. There was no issue after doing the left. I figured that the additional LEDs freaked out the control module and, as a test snipped the leads going to both switchbacks. Now they do not turn amber and flash (obviously) but the hyperflash is still present.
The switchback were soldered into the signal wire and thoroughly taped. ALL bulbs currently work (all 4 signals, high and low beams, running LEDs, all of it).
Anything I should do to get me back to regular flash? Should I pull the positive cable off the battery, reset stuff and try again?
