I have noticed a strange sound coming from the HVAC system. It almost sounds like running water. It goes away when the Climate Control is off. Anyone notice this?

I have this sound and have brought it to the dealer twice and they say it's normal. If you turn off the A/C, it will stop making the sound. Most noticeable at low fan speeds right?

Yeah the most I hear it is when I am stopped at a light or parking it and just sitting there at idle. I don’t think it is normal or every other car I have owned would do the same thing so yeah prolly not normal. Is it hurting anything no I doubt it but I don’t like having noises like that in a new car it’s annoying.

I think those are normal noises when A/C is on, but verify that your car is draining condensation when in use by checking the ground outside for water.

a gurgling noise is normal imo. A dripping noise however, may not be. again, check the outside to see if condensation is draining properly.

If you know how a/c works, a liquid refrigerant is sprayed out of a nozzle from a high pressure to a low pressure area. That causes the droplets to vaporize, and you are probably hearing that happen. Think of water sizzling on a hot surface and the sound it makes, except this is inside the a/c tubing. As it vaporizes, it absorbs a lot of heat and makes the evaporator super cold, which cools the air.

Same sound here on my LX. It’s not all the time though. Just every now and then. My A/C is always on so I wonder what causes it to do it sometimes and other times not?
