True but the Corolla sedan has more back seat room also. I just couldn't find a Corolla sedan with manual and was saying that the Corolla hatch is too small for my desires.

This killed both the Corolla and Mazda3 hatch for me. Both were too small and I need at least enough room for one kid back there. The Civic hatch is like an SUV compared to those.
