Hi all I wanted to start off introducing myself. My name is Ruben my ig is @StockSi_ (if anybody wants to follow me I only have 90 followers .-.) I have a 2019 Civic Si in Lunar Silver. Currently my car has about 33,000 miles on it and it’s my daily. I’m making this thread just to keep documentation of the progress I’ve made & my progression through my build. Hope seeing my name pop up a lot doesn’t bother anyone since I do add things to my car very frequently and am planning on being active on this thread ?. Thanks for reading & your time :)

I don’t have that much done to the car imo but I’m slowly getting there. I’m doing a somewhat budget build so what ever parts I find first that are on my list to buy will be the ones I get first.
I recently picked up a pair of av06 but the offset on them is +24 which pokes way too much since I wanna run federal 595 rsrr 255/40/15. I’ll be picking up my new rims in a week or so.
My next engine modification was going to be a GTX 2867 2nd gen Big Turbo but I’m going to hold off until I build my motor hopefully within a few months.

I picked up a Retrofit type r bumper off somebody a couple days ago and I’ve decided to paint it myself. I’ve never painted something this big before so it’ll forsure be a new experience. I picked it up for $100 (when I say budget build I mean it lmao) & I also picked up some 2020 White Fog light garnishes off a member here for $60 dollars which I will get wrapped in carbon since I can’t afford real carbon :/
Honda Civic 10th gen @StockSi_ 2019 Lunar FBO PPG Civic Si Build 1E325248-26A0-44FD-96CB-602F3FE1DC32

PRL GTX 2867r 2nd gen big turbo kit
PRL Race MAF
27Won RMM
Whiteline 26/22mm Rear Sway Bar
18x9.5 +38 Rims
Retrofit Brembo BBK

If you have any of these parts sale pm me lol

Hopefully I remember this thread is here and I hope I’m as active as possible.I’ve installed all my parts myself (except my clutch) so If anybody has any question please feel free to pm me. I’m pretty sure I had the same question as you lol. To who ever read this far thank you for your time. ?

That front end should look real nice with the Type R replica bumper!

Note that those fog light garnishes might not fit that bumper, though. I believe the rep bumpers have that mesh built in.

Yeah man unfortunately my stock ones didn’t fit so I doubt the other ones will. I have to figure something out for these vents.

1/19/2021 Retro Fit Type R bumper

I finally got around to starting the sanding process. (I’ve never painted anything this big and this well so I’m not too sure what the “correct way” to do it sorry if I do it wrong) My plan is to wet sand it down with 320 grit until I get as much as possible off, next will be adding sandable primer & wet sanding it with 800 grit between coats. Once I’m done with that I’ll start adding the silver paint on and continue to sand between coats with 1200 or 2000 grit(don’t remember which one I bought since it’s in my car) my final coat of clear coat will be polished and hopefully looking juicy ?

I put the bumper on the car already since I have no space to put it while I paint it. I’ll make it work. The bumper had broken tabs that I had to glue back on they were very delicate & seemed really old. While installing the bumper I had issues with the fitment. While one side was in and flush the other side was short by half an inch. I’m not sure if the bash bar was in the way but I had to pull it fairly hard for it to fit. Still deciding if I wanna take it off and paint the bash bar black or gold to match my fmic.
Pics of my progress so far below. Overall the look is crazy nice imo. I’m excited to see the end results. Thanks for reading

Some people shouldn’t be able to be behind the wheel man... this dumbass backed into me while waiting for a light. My bumper wasnt even painted yet ?

At this point it is what it is hopefully gorilla glue comes in clutch and leaves it good until I can replace it.

Damn homie! That sucks. Did you guys exchange insurance info? Because if you did, just have a trusted Autobody shop fix it, and find out if a. They can throw in a paint job and just charge it to the insurance or b. Pay a little out of pocket to have them color match it.

Yeah that’s what I was planing on doing but if they wanna put the car under a salvage title over this fender bender imma pass and just pay for a new grille.

Oh hell yeah that’s a no brainer. I doubt they’ll want to call it salvage because of that, though. Keep us posted on the outcome. Good luck, man!

A little update: Seibon hood and R Bumper have been finally been polished and finished. The front end looks great imo I just have to clean up the over spray on the headlights and broken grille. Unfortunately there has been another set back. My ACT street clutch broke lol I struggle getting into 3rd, 4th goes in easily but has no power and I can’t get into reverse. I’ll try attaching a video below. The clutch felt so smooth and great it’s just unfortunate it only lasted me 15-20k miles. Right now I’m in between wanting type r retrofit or a stage 4/5 action clutch whoever can install it faster since I need it ASAP.

I did a baby pull at 4500 to 6000 on 4th gear as soon as I feel it start going my 4th becomes a second neutral :/ the clutch catches great but I feel like a spring broke not too sure don’t know much about clutches :c when I drive it sounds like there’s a flat tire and when I let go of the clutch quickly I can hear a loud thumb almost like it’s engaging
