Let’s get right to it. Stock wheels kind of suck.
I love the handling but stock 20’s in NY is just a PITA.
I have had my FK8 for one year and in the last 6 months have blown out a tire which bent the rim.
Just this week I bent another wheel. Just getting onto the highway.
Looks like some after market wheels are going to have to be next.
Overall IMO it would of been great if Honda just designed a solid 18inch wheel with some reasonable tires.
I know responses are going to be that this is a Race car & the 20inch wheels help with the 0 Torque steer & handling. Totally understand what I got myself into.

Lastly my tire and wheel protection all of sudden Has a limit.
Now I will have to pay $460 for a new wheel because I only have $900 until I reached my limit.
Soo all in all.

You got that right! I couldn't wait to take them off my car, the ride is horrible so rough.

Should have just down size to 18 from new, I knwo 99% of the CTR owners (both here and everywhere) dropped to 18

Picking up my R today, going to run adapters on my 18's from the sport touring until I can get some 18's in 5x120... I have zero intention of doing anything with the stock wheels except packing them away in the basement lol. Rubber bands on rims that can't take a pothole in upstate NY? No thanks.

Fixed it for you ?
Hit the nail right on the head ? roads here are terrible. The weather fluctuates so much that they fix the same holes every year they just get bigger and bigger until the road is redone. I feel like with all the technology out there, someone has to have come up with a material that has similar properties minus being so affected by temperature swings...

I am not trying to! trust me
Where I live there is just a ton, especially on certain areas of the highways.
You must have really hit that hole HARD.

Sells your remaining wheels to fund your new set.

I also bent a wheel driving on some highway outside NYC. I was coming around a sharp bend on an exit ramp and didn’t see it in time, I felt my wheel drop down to Dante’s ninth circle. My three buddy’s in the car let out a collective “ooooooooo ?”

ditch those wheels for sure

im gonna guess you live on LI lol. the expressway is such a joke man, legit CRATERS in it that never get fixed
nah I was passing through from Baltimore to Maine. I was naive to take this car on a road trip with stock wheels/tires. Never again

I have 18”, only 2,900 miles on my sedan sport and had to fix my tires twice... once it was in New York City - it was raining, huge traffic and big pothole on the middle of intersection i didn’t see... front left tire destroyed, got lucky that rim was fine ??
another time was in North NJ where i live - small metal piece was on the road, it was impossible to see - rear left tire gone, impossible to patch, needed replacement.

At least got lucky that rims are fine - which probably wouldn’t be that good with 20”.
