I think you are misinterpreting the stock tires that come on the si. The stocks for si are Goodyear eagle sports. The ft140’s are for the civic lx.
They arent putting hankooks on the LXs anymore? Ive seen the EX-L come with ft140s

I thought the Hankooks were pretty good on my LX

I have the hatchback sport and I'm at about 16K and I was told I should consider new tires for the winter and I'm curious if I should get something else than the stock. Seems like I burned through them pretty quickly..
What brand and series tire came on it?

I've run my tires at ~38 psi since my 2016 Civic EX was new, rotating them every 10,000 miles.

My original tires now have just over 73,000 miles on them. I visited a trusted local independent shop last week, and they told me that I should consider replacing my tires in ~5,000 more miles.

The OEM tires on my 2016 Civic EX are the Firestone FT140, 215/55R16.

I'm relatively happy with how well they've done. These are the second longest lasting OEM tires I've had. The longest lasting were some OEM Michelin tires on a 1992 Accord EX that lasted over 90,000 miles before I finally replaced them.

2017 Touring, I had the Firestone FT140's on it, made it to 72,000 wound up with a nail that a plug just wouldn't seal up, so replaced all 4 with Micheline Cross Climates. The Firestones were not to the wear bars yet but they were definitely showing their age. I replaced them August 2021. no cracking on the sidewalls, just worn tread. The cross climates are kinda noisy but they are really good in the rain, seemed fine in the small amount of snow we received here in NJ.

I just got mine changed! I had about 40k on them. One got a nail so I had to replace or they would have made it until the end of the season! So 3 years total.

I got 47,000 out of the original Conti's and recently replaced them with the 85,000 mile Goodyear Assurance Maxlife from @Discount Tire.
Thank you for your business, we greatly appreciate your support.

I just replaced my original 2018 tires at 48k km / 29k miles.

They were Michelin Primacy 3 with a little life left in them, but not much. One had started to delaminate, possibly from driving over sharp rocks recently. There was a little age related cracking in the sidewalls too, so I swapped them all out.
