I am posting a side to side comparison to the hpfp in a type R and hatch sport.
The type R uses 10mm allen bolts.
The sport uses a 12mm allen bolts.
It seem thats the type R can be bolted onto the non type R by widening the mounting bolts.
I notice the sensor clip is different shape but the same 2 pin inside.
The nozzle is on the opposite side.
The fk7 hardline fits onto the fk8 hpfp.

What is the benefit to doing the swap? Will this affect the camshaft lobe? Premature wear from a different end profile?

I remember Eman telling me that the Type R hardline shares the same hardline as the non Si 1.5t while I was at his shop.

Thanks for sharing! Based on your photos it looks like all that would need to be done is modify the mounting bolt holes, change out the connector on the harness for the Type R connector, and change the low pressure feed line that goes to the pump.

High pressure fuel pumps are a positive displacement style pump so if the diameter and stroke of the plunger that moves the fuel for both pumps is known we can determine how much flow would be gained from using a Type R pump.

Does anybody know if the Accord pump is the same as the Type R? Might be a slightly cheaper alternative.

Benefit would be more fuel support.
I dont have an answer to the other questions.

I upgraded my hpfp. Word is that it is from an accord. Here are some pics I took prior to installation.

Base was thicker. Needed longer bolts.
Nozzle was aiming at a difference direction and bigger.
Same size 2 pin connector.

Sounds like the Accord pump may be a tad less work to use. Might try to get my hands on a few pumps to tear them down and get the plungers measured. I already have a couple spare base 1.5T and Si/CRV 1.5T pumps I can measure. Would be great to make a table comparing the flowrates of all the pumps.

According to the part number written on it, it is from a TLX, RDX and Accord

Curious if the FK8 pump would actually be an upgrade for the lower trims. On the FK8 it is pretty close to tapped out already. You end up playing lottery with your OEM HPFP, some cars can handle FBO with some ethanol then you have some that can barely handle FBO with a tune. (like mine)

Yes it is an upgrade. The lower trims maxed out around 350whp due to fuel limit. I believe the type R maxes out around 390whp (someone correct me).
